how did monogamy become the accepted relationship in society

Well, when you add in jealousy, and count the fact that sex used to be associated with the spread of plague, and is still a disease spreading mechanism. Then add in the religious influences, and difficulty caring for multiple partners, it gets easy to see why monogamy is the norm...

Not really pologom as it's just sex but loads of couples have sex with lots of different people. Adding 1 extra person to sex or just say 4 people (2 couples) having sex with each other.

So I guess sex pologomy happens a lot and I'd say pretty accepted, might be like "oo did you hear those at no 45 have huge orgies" but nobody really cares
