Genital contact is sex.

The psychological purpose (not biological purpose though) of sex is to induce orgasm... oral and manual can fulfill that function, even if they don't fulfill the biological purpose of ensuring continuation of the species. Kissing/holding hands, however, does not fall under the category of sex acts, although they can be used to lead into suck acts...

They have the word "sex" in them, so that makes me think they must be sex. Seems like a logical enough conclusion to me.

LOL nice discussion. I consider oral to be either just foreplay before sex, apart of having sex, not the act "sex" but part of the...moment of "sex" I guess. Unles it's just quick i like to give lots of foreplay befor getting to penetration. Or could just be, watching TV and u fancy giving other person some loving and go down on them. I love giving oral (to girls, im a stright male) so I try and do it all the time, my gf says I'm REALLY weird, and I always say "yeah and your complaining" of course that's a no, maybe it is weird but ahh well sod it.

I wouldn't conisder massages to be sex, I consider sex to be sex, but I wouldn't do it to someone if I had a gf, its a bit "too" close. But me and my gf consider even dancing with someone, apart from stupid with your mate or same sex mates dancing, cheating like grinding dancing, so I can understand.

As far as I'm concerned, "sex" means "sexual intercourse", including genital-genital penetration and genital-anal penetration. The second one could be disputed, but we do have to consider same-sex relations as well, and it fulfills the same function (reproduction aside).

Oral and manual sex are definitely sex acts, but does that make them sex? Not in the sense that "sex" means "sexual intercourse". And since that's how I understand it, no, they are not sex.

Everybody seems to think this point of view started with Bill Clinton. I laugh at that. I think they're mostly naïve parents who honestly believe that their children had never even thought of sex until they saw it in the news or something.

I count sex as any excitation of the genital organs, whether for its intended purpose or otherwise.
