It's possible.

However I can't see such a relationship lasting a very long time. One of the few things I know about romantic relationships is that if a friendship of some kind doesn't exist underneath, the relationship WILL fail.

Actually, I beg to differ...

Some of the best relationships start out as love/hate relationships.

of course, the hate should wear off in the relatively early stages...
