Depending on where you are, a battle field is an obvious choice.

For me, the library or a bookstore would be ideal.

My own home, where my cats are.

Antiques mall - sounds kind of strange, but if they have a lot of booths, there won't be a lot of sales people watching your every move. A lot of Aspies collect things, and being able to share what you know about things can be freeing. Finding a good deal can help you share your ability to be enthusiastic in an un-forced kind of way. If the mall is really large, and there are thousands of things for sale, it can be a bit overwhelming, but check out the situation before you go. Afterwards go to an out-of-the-way quiet coffee shop or something similar.

I'd be thinking of a quite and fairly isolated park or a walk or in the bush. This can of course be a bit hard to do depending on where you live.

My personal favourite spot to go is a track not too far out of my home town that leads to a small waterfall. It's a great spot to relax.

Take an Aspie person to someplace they enjoy. Personally, I like concerts by cool indie bands at 2000 or less capacity clubs. But I also like the record store (until the Internet anyway), restaurants where I can have a drink and relax, the mall, the movies, comic book and toy stores, book stores, coffee shops, antique shops. It depends on the individual. Let their interests lead the way.

Hell yeah! Just stay inside, pop some popcorn, and play Quake Wars all night.

A quiet cafe/coffee shop works well early on for getting to know each other. It's not too loud, it's not expensive, it's a relaxed atmosphere, and you get to let the conversation carry the date.

I'd choose a place where you can do various things besides talking. That way, you can avoid awkward silences or strange conversational situations.
Like a café where you can do typical café sports like pool, snooker, dartboard, ...
