Um, Esmerelda is not a disney princess, but out of all those women, she is the hottest.

Well, don't get TOO technical. When I started the poll, only princesses were on my mind. Esmeralda was an afterthought, and I was too lazy to change the word.

Esmeralda is pretty cool. She took a liking to Quasimodo. Also, she was much more dynamic than the other princesses, who relied upon their fairy god mothers to make magic for them and for their princes to come and marry them.

Ah, but there's always the Disney equivalent of Shrek and it's princess (Enchanted, I can't remember the girl from it for some reason). She would be my vote. Redheads horrah!

But if you're going to include Meg and Esmarelda, neither of which are princesses (technically, Pochahontas isn't either, but Disney list her with them, so she can be counted), then my vote would be for Jane (Tarzan), the most awesomest of all Disney women after the captain from Treasure Planet (who doesn't count because she's an alien).

Then why are there so many disney references in that movie and its sequels? If it wasn't at least greenlighted by someone at disney, the movie would have been sued to oblivion...

It's Dreamworks, which was set up by a couple of guys who got fired from/pissed off with Disney, if I remember correctly. None of the references are direct enough to be able to seriously attack Disney for, especially considering the main things that they took from are stories that were originally in the public domain (Fairy Tales, etc.). That's how all spoofs survive: you can copyright names, writing and artwork, but not plot points/appearances.

Pardon me, but Belle, Esmeralda, Mulan, Pokahontas and Cinderella aren't technically princesses, Cinderella becomes one in the end, but the others never were and never will be.

I'm not qualified to state which of my childhood memories are more "sexy", but I always had a liking for the little mermaide Ariel so I woted for her (Btw, you do know that she is 16 years old in the movie, right?)

Don't think any of them. I like 'real' women. Not really into real life 'princesses' either.

According wikipedia Esmeralda is a princess because her father becomes king of the Gypsies.

You should rewatch The Hunchback of Notre Dame. There really isn't any competition on this question. Esmerelda is the only case where a Disney "princess"'s pure sex appeal drives the story. She gets Claude Frollo so hot and bothered that he goes insane. They gave her Demi Moore's voice, put her in revealing outfits (including her first appearence where she Quasimoto accidentally went into her dressing room and a semi-nude appearance in flames), and gave her a very flirtacious and touchy personality.

Plus, she works a pole.

My youngest daughter thinks that Snow White is the prettiest, while my older one is partial to Sleeping Beauty.
