True enough, I just talk about what's worked for me, other people's mileage may vary. My profile definitely plays to my strengths, which are not going to be the same as yours, and is tailored for my local area, which of course is also much different.

I was just saying that there is no way that leaf plant was a woman in that photo.

You shouldn't assume stuff you don't know.

I try my best not to. If you check the image URL, it's linking to a generic image of young Lebanese girls/women.

I didn't check the image URL. It didn't take a genius to know that the women in that picture wasn't leaf plant.

But you agreed with FOB that it was a joke prodding leaf plant to post a picture of herself when it wasn't. You assumed it for no reason.

aww. that doggie is certainly enjoying the cuddles.

I'm not sure I would include these tbh, sweet as they are, bc in the snowman pic, your friend is a but cuter than you (sorry!) so that's no good and the one with the dog while adorable is just a bit too relaxed for a date profile imho, but I am an old prude to be fair, so hopefully others will chime in soon

That is your own personal opinion, but there may be potential matches viewing the OP's profile who think the OP is more attractive than his friend. It all depends on the viewer's taste in men. His friend's looks are irrelevant, anyway, since the profile in question is his, and not his friend's.

OP, you could easily crop that photo so that your friend does not feature in it at all. You could include only yourself and the snowman, or only yourself. Cropping is really easy. You don't need any software to do it; there are online websites where you can do it for free. :)

Hmm, maybe including a photo with my sister's recent ex wasn't a good idea. I could crop him out (I was a junior gfx designer so I have no problems with editing the photos :P )

The dog photo is perhaps a bit too casual. Having said that, last night a lady started a convo with me in IM. Kinda caught me off guard. The fact I care about dogs was quite a draw apparently.
Might speak to her again later, but she doesn't seem too intent on meeting up with anyone until she knows them after a long time. I'll play that by ear as the chat went well.

Generally speaking, the income part sadly but surely does help. As does keeping the profile constantly maintained.
Is there any way of hiding the last login time/date?

You are a great guy and you will find the right girl, just hang in there. I just want to say I really like the dog pics, it does show a really nice side to you but I just think it is a bit much for someone who knows nothing about you at all. It could give a wrong impression and as you know people are just looking for excuses to exclude.

Time to persist with badgering friends and family for the rest of the great looking pics of you. you are bound to find some that are just perfect for OKC

No idea about the login deets sorry, I've never been on OKC myself, but we are surrounded by hackers, someone should help you out

^ what's wrong with the dog pic for Ba'al sake? Seriously, even a such casual pic can be a reason for a woman to exclude him?

*sigh* one can never win with your gender.

JM, maybe it's better to just put a blank pic.

Again, it' a UK thing. People over here are waaaay more restrained. Unless they are drunk. But anyway, just accept that it's like that.

Btw I am serious about the non pic choice.

I had 3 phases of okc, and it's marked by change of pics while the content changed slightly.
The first phase I was still having the super skinny typical geeky look: total failure, zero reply, zero interest.
Phase 2, pic removed, blank, I had some replies and chats, go figure. No dates tho.
Phase 3, after working out I've posted a shirtless pic and...boom! date after date for a year.

Phase 4: It's now, I am not anymore active in messaging nor that interested

I fail to comprehend your problem.

Imagine you are a woman and all of the above applies to you (except substitute shirtless for bikini).

Women are people too and OKC is a plastic medium for meeting people with whom you hope to have a meaningful relationship.

methinks you are just too picky and a bit of a diva [why don't they make an eyebrow wiggle icon!]
