Principally, I would be able to find a girlfriend, but after two nightmarish answers I've already got from just two girls ("we're too distinct" ) I have no courage to make a single initiative anymore. Also I don't want to get to know more than a single person (after all my former friends betraying my trust through most of my life I have hated the whole word "friend").

Any aspie guy can get a girlfriend if they put effort into it. I'm not talking about reading Cosmopolitan magazine with her and watching sex in the city. (And if thats all she does, then run.) But by being polite, interested in the lady, funny and witty and clean.
You can not think "I am aspie, I can only talk about data extraction and politics, sorry." ( I speak from experience.)
You may be able to share interests, but personal interests are just that, personal.

As a female who is dating an AS male I can attest that relationships can work and are hard, but with an understanding person it can be very rewarding.
He is not some Adonis or whatever, there is a picture I put on the members board of us. He is wonderful to me and that is enough.

Now I am doubting myself. When I was rereading it, it sounds like I am trying to convince myself.
Aspies can not have girlfriends is YOU DO NOT SHOWER and YOU PICK THEM INTO PIECES and ETC.
Maybe it is his being AS or I really don't know about HFA, but he seems profoundly so and my most probably falling somewhere on the spectrum, (to be determined.) Maybe the two of us interacting is the problem. We dated for three years so ?

My personal experience, while not that extreme, has convinced me that I cannot make lasting friendships - friendship is something i can't take v. seriously anymore.

and as far as picking me into pieces, i meant wanting me to do everything his way, questioning my every move, my judgment, my ideas, my EVERYTHING. it is not worth it.

glad you shower, its a wonderful quality in a man.

Geeze, even if you don't like to do it, how do you get away with not bathing on a regular basis? :?

Seems like a valuable skill...
