well it is kind of funny when supposedly intelligent people constantly point out and dwell on what they can't do or don't qualify for, tragicomicedic would be the best word actually. I mean your post above mine says it all, you weren't trying to be funny there?

No. Perhaps, instead, I was trying to drop a hint. I guess it wasn't a very good tactic. :?

Also, I have a very, very difficult time accepting things I don't agree with. Don't tell me that I can't do something or don't qualify for it, if I want that thing or situation. Them's fighting words.

That counts me out, then (as usual). Meh. :?

Counts me out too. Woe is me

No, it doesn't... I meant "26 +/- eight years: Anywhere from ~18 - ~34. Sorry for the ambiguouity.

EDIT: Oh... I didn't realize you were a guy, I thought you were making reference to the age range, as well.

I'm actually just popping by to set my own contribution to this thread straight, but I can't edit it this late after posting. I'm no longer single, so for those who've seen my post and messaged me thinking I am, apologies. Hopefully future posters will also see this. I'm also not interested in dating whatsoever, should I become 'free' again.

I hope a few successes have come of this thread since my last visits. It's certainly been a while.

OK I may aswell put myself here :D

I'm a 19 year old male looking for female of a similar age (maybe a bit older, or younger, it depends)

I've brown hair and eyes, I'm not amazingly physically, I'm a bit tubby I'd say. I'd like to think of myself as a bit of a romantic type. I live around in the Oxfordshire area of England.

I'll get a picture up soon!

I'm single again as expected so I may as well.

Er, well, I'm:

32
Male (sadly) / Genderqueer (primarily meaning: your gender is irrelevant to me, and my own is nebulous)
And I live in the north east of England.

I'm a socialist, a sometime LRPer, once knew a bit about astrophysics, and I love folk/punk/rock/goth/electronica/rai music (and sing, often and badly). I read a lot (mostly good sff). I waste time with computers a lot (and fix them for a living). I used to enjoy long distances walks and running but haven't done either for a long time; as a consequence I'm terribly unfit, but I'd love to start again! I like visiting museums, old castles, scenery in general, but again, haven't really done much of late and would love someone to go places with. :) I love learning about history, language, geography, politics, cultures, art, mythology, and anything and everything (I can wiki-walk for hours...) but I'm definitely more low-brow than high-brow. :)

I'm 5'11", average looks, average-to-slim build, very short brown hair, brown eyes. My nails are generally destroyed but gimme an excuse to stop. I don't have any physical specifications for an ideal partner other than "very roughly my age and not cripplingly overweight."

I try my best to be a nice person (I'm certainly no longer quite the arrogant git I used to be; if it was ever justified it isn't any more!) ; I'm a bit of a recluse at the moment, I've effectively no social life (which doesn't bother me too much, I'd like company, not society.) I believe in God and the potential of humanity but definitely not in religion. My sense of humour is unorthodox and I'm cheerful more often than not. ;)

Do get in touch...

Whereabouts in the North-East? I'm stuck on the wrong side of The Pond, unfortunately. Why are the interesting folks NEVER nearby?! :( *Sigh*

It's a bugger, isn't it? (but thanks! :) ) :( I live in Peterlee ("for Industry" as the sign used to say), on the coast(more or less) about halfway between Sunderland and 'Boro. It's mainly distinguished by sprawling but ailing industrial estates, houses that used to have flat roofs (the architect failing spectacularly to account for the local climate) and a staggeringly bad piece of sculpture that's usually surrounded by abandoned shopping trolleys. I think they go there to die. :) It does have a lot of green open spaces though (right throughout the town) and there's some nice woodland too.

so let's see if this actually works. yes, i am skeptical that i could actually find a partner through such a forum because it is unstructured data making it difficult for anyone looking for someone to use efficiently. ok, so i am an IT professional who specializes in data management so that's my bias.

anyhow, here goes.

i am 47, 71", 190 lbs, physically active (run 30 - 40 miles a week, weight train 5-8 hours a week), have two masters (computer science from georgia tech and theoretical mathematics from creighton u), 145 IQ. i also enjoy scuba diving (it's so quiet and peaceful underwater it's an aspie's paradise), have done some sky diving and would like to do more.

i'm looking for a woman who could be considered an equal in all respects meaning physically fit and active, well educated, intellectually gifted, adventurous, kind, supportive, understanding, faithful and loyal.

i live in the richmond, va area but am able and willing to relocate for the right situation or she can come here.
i have a 4BR, 2300 sq ft house all to myself.

are you out there...reading this post...ready to reply ?

Hello single aspies!

A few of us have started to organize an aspie meet-up in the Toronto area.

While not intended as a romantic shmooze but rather a friendly time with fellow aspies, you never know who you could meet.

If your interested check out our thread:

Hey,
I'm a 19 year-old male from Newcastle, looking for a female of a similar age. I've never been in a relationship before, but then I've never really put myself out there either.

I've never met anyone w/ Asperger's before. Thought it would be interesting to get to know someone sharing some traits and maybe have more in common with than NTs. Plus, I'm kind of curious what I'm like. It's hard to know from the inside. I love the woman/man ratio here! I'm kind of a tomboy though (a feminine one).

Love going to the beach and live just a 5 minute walk away. Can often hear the ocean from my place and can almost see it. Am 50 but feel like 20, 5'9", about 125#, hazel eyes (sometimes green, sometimes blue), am super tan right now. I like knowing what's going on in the world and spend quite a bit of time reading. I'm especially concerned about the plight of the Palestinians. Like foreign films, astronomy, science, music, fiddling with all aspects of computers. Don't believe in the plethora of gods out there or the supernatural in any other way. Buddhism is interesting. Don't have beliefs actually, never did. Think truth may be subjective.

Recently figured out I have Celiac, DH, Leaky Gut and probably Auto-immune Thyroid so am trying to sort it all out and get healthy. Grateful that studies are put online. Best are from the UK and Ireland. Almost all foods are on one list or another of can't eat so am shrinking. Was thin to begin with. Have major sensitivities, light, touch, especially hearing. Have super hearing and that's not a good thing. Everything is really loud. Ride bike and walk rather than drive.

Am actually happy being alone. For sure don't want a clingy kind of love thing. Love is in fact a virus. I like cuddling though so an occasional companion would be nice. Or, girlfriends. In a platonic way. So, I know it's probably unlikely there's anyone in my vicinity but maybe there will be travelers. I'm in Northern California. Have my 215.

p.s. what about dividing this up by gender, age groups and geography?

I have never been in love before, yet on the inside I am a hopeless romantic.

Here is a bit about me:

Age - 30
Occupation - Social Studies Teacher
Location - Wisconsin
Height - 6' 2"
Weight - 174 pounds
Hair & Eye Color - Brown
Interests - History, Astronomy, Meteorology, Art, Architecture, Sports, Theatre, Music

I am a rather handsome person (will send you pictures if you like), and could have been a model if not for my acne difficulties. I could care less what the other person looks like as long as they are honest, sincere, genuine, nice, and thoughtful. I have been taken advantage of in the past by 2 NT's, so it takes time for me to trust a person. I am easy to get along with as long as you treat me with respect. I treat everyone with respect unless shown otherwise.

I won't go out of my way to meet anyone, but if you sound interested then let me know.

Sorry need to stop posting meds (currently on a disability pension) is making me a bit spacky. I guess a WP meet up would be OK, though their aren't that many WP people here in little old Brisbane I do believe Melbourne is AS central (artsy with a much higher population) I suppose that's why I felt rather at home their (2 week holiday)

Sometimes I do wish I lived on a little island with 60 + million people
