Why do things have to be so complicated, why can't the people who love me, also love the people who love me.

Often it feels as though by heart is a battlefield for which there are can only be one ruler, my own wishes be damned.

I've been considering this a while now so I guess I should write it down somewhere; love is the only thing in the world that's real. It's everywhere and it's the only substantive part of westernized life. If we can see through enough of the nonsense things are looking up.

I understand the concept of being single.

I've had a crush on a girl (she's a lady now) named Melissa since I was 5. I'm 32 now. We're friends on facebook. I make sure to ask her out on a date about 2x per year but she never goes for it haha. At least we're friends.

I don't know you yet if I ever do meet whoever you are. It's fine by me for now, I think.

I love you more and more with each passing day.
