No. Polygamy was, and polygyny in particular.

Just look at the Bible and ancient Asian dynasties for instance. Also genetic studies evidences show that only very very few Y chromosomes survived since 7000 years ago, scientists noticed the diversity of Y chromosomes collapsed during this time , it was probably a time point in human history where extreme polygyny (and male genocides) was at its peak.

Even our very physiology shows a set of characteristics typical for polygynous mammals.

As for the more ancient times (pre-agriculture, and even pre-homo sapiens), there's a little info but looking at some hunter-gather societies today, there's still a mild polygyny among them, where a strong hunter may take two wives at least to replace a weakling man who has no right for marriage, it may sound mild but has a tremendous effect on the long course of evolution.

Sabreclaw said people not women , stop being provocative and acting like a champion for women because you are not fooling anyone. In my experience I agree with his comment.

"Women" is a subset of "People". Challenging someone's misconceptions is often perceived as provocative.

Just because women's honest answers don't jibe with Sabreclaw's personal narrative does not make them invalid. If men would only listen and accept what women have to say instead of assuming that women can't think for themselves (and therefore must be told what to think or "mansplained" to), interpersonal relationships would go a lot better, and there would be fewer men complaining that they can't get dates.

Very true.

It would also be great if men who struggle to get dates would stop assuming they know how women think better than women do.

Yeah, huh? How many times have we read posts from dateless men and incels that go something like "Women think that I am a <* insert insulting term here *>" or "All women think that <* insert misogynistic projection here *>"?

No one should assume to know what anyone else thinks.
