You're very pretty. What's the biggest difficulty of being vegan? Have you been able to do it w/o resorting to vitamin/mineral capsules or multis like One-A-Day or Centrum? With regards to the hair I'm like you in that refuse to cut it to a point where it's short enough that I can't pull it back. Do you have issues with the sensation of yuor hair against your face? I don't really have a fave author, I moreless just read(actually listen to) whatever I can getin/transcode into m4b format for my iPod. I can't flip my tongue but I can roll it and touch my nose w/it too. Can you cauliflower your tongue? What I didn't quote is the part about the ecovillage are there any of those sort of places in Canada, more specifically southern/southeastern Ontraio or are they stirctly something you'd find in the warmer climate like in the southern states or Cali or something like that? I love to cook, though I do tend to make a lot more complex dishes but sometimes nothing beats an "everything-in-the-crisper" sauce. I love my animals, well maybe not both but that's because one of them is totally coddled and spolied by my mother, but I do love animals, especially cats and horses.

Thank you!!

The biggest difficulty of being vegan is probably the time it takes to prepare food. I like to cook, so this isn't that big of a deal for me, but sometimes I just don't have the time. I take a vegan multivitamin (most are not!) because I simply feel like it's probably a good idea. I actually prefer my hair in my face. It gives me some strange sense of security. There are a number of ecovillages in NY state, which is where I live. Apparently there is one in Truxton, NY and another I know of is in Ithaca. The most famous ecovillages are actually in Wales. Since I do not like hot weather, I've never really looked up ones in areas like California, although I'm sure they're there.

Why do I have the overwhelming desire to say, "okay" to this?

Seeing as I couldn't possibly lose anything from making a post in this thread, I figured I'd give this a shot. For to-the-point readers, my interests begin after the first paragraph.

My name is Josh, but I generally go by Dieff, an abridgment of my last name. I'm 21 and live in the western part of New York state. At the risk of being labeled by whatever data I reveal first, I'll say that I'm an atheist/agnostic. I'd probably be ok with an intimate heterosexual relationship, but would be much more comfortable in a platonic one, at least at the beginning. This is mostly because I'm overweight and have the accompanying self-esteem issues, though I like to say I'm "Seth Rogan fat"; I couldn't see myself in a relationship based on looks. Like most of the previous posters, I'm looking for a like-minded individual- male or female- with which to converse on a level higher than "smalltalk". I pretty much hate life*, but I'm only depressed and misanthropic because I have no peers I can talk to around here.

I enjoy both the reception and creation of comedy: if you can turn a phrase, you can turn me on. Let's see, what else... my mind is drawing a blank. Hold on, lemme check my Facebook page.

My lighter interests include petting/singing to my cats and a general interest in the structure of the universe. I don't know enough about it to say I like physics, or astronomy, or anything in particular, but just enough to be curious about how this place works.

My more deep interest is psychology/neurology, and most especially psychopharmacology- I loves me some drugs. I don't mean taking them, I mean learning about their effects and various things related to them. That's not to say I don't also enjoy taking them for experimental and hedonistic purposes. In contrast to my generalized interest in the cosmos, this is focused down to mind-altering chemicals, rather than general chemistry knowledge.

Lately I've branched out into the psychology and behavior of people in social situations. I'm not sure if this is still psychology or if I've gone onto sociology. At any rate... despite how cliched as it sounds, I find inner space as fascinating as outer space.

I'm thirsty for conversation with anyone even remotely like me. Even if you share none of my interests, intelligence and humor are pretty much the only two things I care about.

I was gonna put [insert pun here] at the end, but I won't. That's just too... too too.

*That may be slightly hyperbolic. Whatever, I'm not taking it out.

Hi - I've decided to look for a girlfriend, new year, new start and all that. I'm a youthful 40. tall (6ft 3in), no kids, have a successful career in media, said to be handsome (I can happily send you a pic if you Message me so you can make your own mind up). Was diagnosed with AS last June. I have many interests and a generally optimistic outlook. It would be lovely to find a young lady to share some of the good things in life with. Message me if you're remotely interested and live in or close to London UK. Hope to hear from you. Thanks :)

After lurking in this thread for a while I guess it coudln't hurt to give it a try
Name:Richard
Age:19
Gender/Orientation: Straight male
Hair:Brown
Eyes: Not quite sure on this one.... kinda blue gray
Height: No idea, not overly short or tall
Current occupation: Studying computer games programming at stafford, UK

Hmmm what to put here, well I guess i'm a rather private person (don't go out much with friends and such) I am currently living in a student house with 3 friends. In my spare time I enjoy playing computer games (I used to play world of warcraft but please don't judge me for it I don't play alot now... ushally) I mostly enjoy role-playing games and such as well as watching sci-fi shows and sometimes reading if I find a good sci-fi book. Not sure what else to say really, if you want to know more or just want to chat PM me :)

Sigh, why not?

Name: Jake
Age: 18
Height: 6'6" (I hit my head more often then I'd like)
Eyes: Green/Blue
Gender/Orientation: Straight male
Hair: Black

I am very loyal, kind, caring, and intelligent. I can carry a conversation. I don't and have never treated females as objects and I never will. I try not to judge, and I never judge by appearance. I am VERY honest (brutally so), so don't ask me if a dress makes you look fat, because if it does, I will most likely say so.

I am a cold logic thinker. I suffer from apathy at times to a point were people get worried. I do try to remain positive though.

I have AS (it's official, yay!) and my views can sometimes go against the crowd. I am not afraid to speak my mind.

Oh what the hell . . .

Name: Kaziglu Bey (not really, but what's the point of anonymity if you don't use it?)
Age: 31
Height: 5'3"
Eyes: Hazel
Gender/Orientation: Straight male
Hair: Shave my head (hair thinned out and I said, f*** it and it looks awesome)

I enjoy computers, computers and more computers--specifically anything with coding (and of course all sorts of hacking). I enjoy punk music and contrary to many here, instead of being bothered by various sounds, I'm actually driven nuts by silence (that's not an exaggeration). If I maintain a good diet, I tend to not have sensory issues, speaking of which . . . I likes to cook (especially since I try and maintain a strict diet excluding dairy and as often as possible some other foods like sugar, gluten, etc.)

I work in Vendor Managed Inventory which is hard to explain but it's like the operational problem solving department of the company (sort of, it's more complicated). Additionally, I enjoy copious amounts of rollerblading, mountain biking and anything else that extracts a thrilling rush from it (basically, HIGHLY adventurous).

I enjoy reading mostly non-fiction and have a special place in my heart for crazy creature movies (like Ice Spiders, look it up).

Not quite single yet as I'm on my way to being divorced (state law requires a year of separation); I believe various Aspie traits of diminished social reciprocity to be the culprit as my wife and I are actually friends but can't make it work past that (she can sum it all up in two words: emotionally lonely).

I'm quite cordial and if you'd like to get to know me catch me on Facebook: Jobe Smith, I'll probably add you and then you can silently stalk me like most anyone else on Facebook does (just make sure to mention WrongPlanet and who you are or I might ignore you).

Here's some imagery:

Yeah, isn't that eyeball awesome?

Height: 6"1
Weight: 180 lbs
Language: English, Russian
Employed: Yes

"Active" interests: creation of games, Aikido, pointless walking
"Passive" interests: TV shows, movies - MOST OF THEM. Dexter, Star Trek TNG, Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, Millennium... Loved Firefly (wipes lonely tear).

Favorite types of melodies: "Spente Le Stelle" by Emma Shapplin, much trance, "Blue Caravan" by Vienna Teng, "The Promise" by Azam Ali, "Guardians at the gates" by Audiomachine (Avatar trailer music)

Quirks: giving life to inanimate objects (because its funny); making up ridiculous backstories about passers by; inexplicable affinity for Burger King; avoidance of people holding kitchen knives; putting on the Highlander theme and pretending to be Adrian Paul; pushing the elderly into traffic; eating babies

Okay, you got me. I added the last two just to check if you were still reading. These lists can get pretty boring, y'know ?

no offense intended towards the author or respondants - but i am kinda cinical and distrustful of any kind of electronic dating service because i got stung by it(electronic dating / matchmaking ).

with that said, my preferred method of dating(or finding a date) is in the flesh and face to face.

Name: Nathan,
I got: Aspergers
Age: 18 years old, about to be 19.
Height: 6.0', still growing.
I have found it hard to think I was alone on this earth for some time now, but knowing there are similar people out there gives me hope for the future...so I am looking for a girl who would share my ideas, my bluntness [I can tend to be too realistic at times]. A girl who is intelligent. Also a girl who doesn't want kids, and yes I have selfish reasons for it but who know, I could change my mind...not sure though. The eye color doesn't particularly matter, neither does the hair.

I am currently attending a Community College to become a Paralegal, and plan to become a Court Reporter sometime afterward, My interests include Law, Ninjas [anime wise], Dragons [anthropomorphic wise], exotic fruits, and pretty much having the chance not to be put under scrutiny because I am a one person debate team. I am a non-denominational Christian, although for us it has been tough to find a true church where we live...yes we have seen somewhat fake churches out there. I have brown hair, blue eyes, flat feet, asthma, yet I try my best to try and overcome these irritants...

If you want to know more about me, just send me a message, or add me on my yahoo or MSN, make sure to say you saw my post on the forums and you would like to chat sometime. I would be willing to answer your questions or would like to see a pic of me.
