Well, video games are more instantly gratifying.

But a mature adult will eventually attempt to curb their appetite for cheap thrills, and delay gratification in order to create something of greater value.

It could be that there are societal trends towards instant gratification, low attention thresholds, and generally delayed maturity that makes this harder/less attractive/less likely

It's in the eye of the beholder.

My personal 'thing worth delaying gratification over' isn't a relationship.

It's definitely not video games though

It's hard for me to believe most men would prefer Realdolls or video games over sex with a real woman.

Its mind blowing how so many people can miss the point of things.

Its because they feel they have to swim across a moat of burning tar and zombie crocodiles, afterwards they have to climb the castle wall while the girl throws all kinds of s**t at him. When he eventually gets up there its highly likely that:

this could be a fair point if men were actually choosing not to date women and instead choosing video games. but the article has no credible evidence of that. so the entire premise under argument is flimsy.

it would be like saying, "more and more women think that men in backwards caps are douchebags. it's true because i asked all my douchebag-hating female friends".

there are too many assumptions, false premises and leaps in logic for the article to be taken seriously, so there is not much point in actually arguing the invalid conclusions.

So basically, for the men whom this applies to,
mindless amusement, avoidance of intimacy or emotional attachment, and instant gratification are what they would otherwise seek from a relationship.

What a loss for women everywhere.

Right now I prefer hentai games over women, Admittedly due to bad break up with a girl who said I was too "passive aggressive."

Hentai games, and games overall, represent an ideal that autistics can get hooked on for it represents a perfect reality which we can thrive in, depending on the character.

You like shooting stuff? Go for Halo. RPG? Oblivion. Both? Warhammer.

In each game we are given an avatar that CAN excel at the role it has in the game, it's up to us to live vicariously through it.

That said...big breasts ftw.

Long article. I don't think most of us read it before posting. Personally, I'd still rather pursue women than sit at home playing video games.
