Snoopy, without a doubt, was one of the greatest literary geniuses of our time.

I totally rat-packed it today, didn't eat anything, started drinking at about 11AM, got through 1 dark and stormy, 3 Moscow mules, a rum punch, a zombie, a caipirinha, a vicious virgin, an aurora bora borealis, and a flaming coconaut, plus 4 cigars, all strong.

Also, I spit roasted a 77lb pig named Ziggy; he was delicious.

Yummy,you probably already know this but the bat on the Bacardi bottle is because the cane fields were fertilized with guano.Fixing to turn half a century in a few weeks ,maybe I'll request a rum birthday cake.Ive already got some items,lamb chops and some hand made bratwursts.We will cook the brats Wisconsin style,boil in beer,grill,then boil in beer again.

The story that I've always heard is that the barns on the Bacardi cane field were infested with bats, and that Senora Bacardi insisted that they not be evicted because they were lucky, which is how they ended up on the bottle. I'm sure they might have also used the guano in the fields, but I've never heard of that being the inspiration for the logo.

Of course, Castro stole all of it from the Bacardi family when he nationalized the industry, and what would be their product today is put out under the Havana Club label, which I can tell you is much tastier than the Puerto Rican stuff put out under the name today. The Anejo and Bacardi 8 are decent, but the generic white and gold are terrible, especially the white; I use Cruzan Virgin Islands rum instead whenever they're called for.

That's cool that she wanted the bats to stay.My best friend,sadly deceased,liked bats.Once when we were having drinks on the deck he said"don't worry when a bat flies out from above my head."I thought he'd had too much to drink,then he explained that a bat had taken up residence in the edge of the roof above where he was sitting,it'd pop out at dark. They are great for controlling Mosquitos.After he died I couldn't help but worry about the little bat,I don't know if the new home owners would be as tolerant about a bat living on the deck.

Bats are cool when they are in swarms, not sucking peoples' blood (vampire bats, especially).

Won't that anger the Caped Crusader? I've had a bat get in the house before,but never a Batman.On second thought,a nocturnal visit from a super hero might be fun.

Okay, some things can 'hurt so good" during play, but I think that would make me too sore. Also, don't bats carry some nasty germs?
