Same.
I've never asked anyone, and I've never been asked.

People can choose to tell their partner voluntarily if they want to, or if it's somehow relevant.
Personal privacy is different than deceiving someone with lies.

Nice wienie, Boo.

My question is about this concept of virginity.
Is it an all-or-nothing concept?

A person might have done some things but not others.
Maybe they did PIV but never kissed or did other ... things.
Maybe they did those other things but didn't do PIV.

Maybe they've done same-sex but not opposite-sex.
Maybe they've done opposite-sex but not same-sex.

I don't understand where and when the label applies.
If the person has absolutely no experience with anything, that's OK and they'll learn.
If they have tons of experience with many people, they can still be really bad at it.

There's a notion here that practice makes perfect.
I don't think that's really true.

I've been with lousy kissers who never got better even though they'd had lots of other partners.
I've been with boring or selfish people who never changed.
I've been with liars and cheats and people who don't have a clue how to intrigue me.

The most important thing is finding someone you really click with.

Of course, I find it limiting.

A virgin, in a mainstream semantic sense, is a person who has never engaged in PIV sex.

For a gay man, it's whether they engaged in their method of intercourse; for a gay woman, the same.

Of course, a person who is experienced with other methods of satisfying their partner and who has otherwise been "around the block" quite a bit----might, by the above definition, be a virgin.

I think you're right. People seem to think virginity is all about PIV. That's never made sense to me because PIV itself is pretty much instinctual. It's primal and not exactly rocket science to figure it out.

Meanwhile a person with lots of experience in "the other things", which involve more finesse, get called virgins.

It's all so arbitrary.

I started thinking about it today and realised I know quite a few people who were "virgins" or didn't date at all until their mid-20s or 30s. I know a few couples where both partners were virgins until their wedding day and they had only kissed prior to marriage. They aren't fundamentalists or religious extremists but they did what was right for them.

I know two young men who didn't date at all until finishing their graduate degrees. They were both very serious students with lots of friends, and lots of opposite-sex friends, who went to parties and had fun lives but focused on education until they were ready to settle down. One of them met his first girlfriend in his doctoral Chemistry program. They just got married in the spring. (I have no idea of her sexual past). The second one is a Muslim guy almost 30 who doesn't believe in premarital sex. He's finished school and met someone but only had a few dates so far.

They're among the most "Alpha" men I know, if such a thing exists.

The idea that a guy has to whore around before he's 18, or else he's a loser, is what really made me sick.
People who talk or think like that don't seem grounded in the real world.

^Indeed, the above are common human experiences.

Talk about whether somebody is a virgin or not, in my experience, is usually confined to high school bull sessions.

Yes. High school bullying, or cyber bullying.

This is supposed to be a support site for people with social disabilities. I keep seeing men divide humans into categories like virgin / slut / alpha / male based on delusional and prejudicial ideology.

Many posts in this thread have been condescending to male virgins. They've been treated like cretins or lepers by other men, and that's hurtful to their mental health. It enforces a shame cycle that they aren't good enough. They claim that it's women's fault, because all women will find virgins and / or autistic men repulsive.

I don't like when people speak for me. Twilight and I have both said repeatedly, in multiple threads, that we don't like athletic macho types, we don't want a man's money, and we don't care if a man is a virgin.

Just because I mentioned some people waiting until marriage, it doesn't mean everyone does. Some people are active prior to 18, some have mixed types of experiences, and some are asexual or not interested. That's all OK. I don't care what a person's history involves so long as they are respectful of others, it's consensual, they take precautions for disease / pregnancy, and they don't shame people who come here for support.

Mayo, really? It's too fatty to go with fried sausage (that's what the picture looks like), which is greasy to begin with. It goes much better with German (brown) mustard or maybe ketchup.

Edited to add:
I'm thinking "mayo" might be a joke or metaphor for something else, but I'm not getting it.

I have not now nor ever blamed women for not liking virgins, any more than I have not now nor ever been a member of the Communist Party. (Props to those who get the McCarthy reference.) That said, I stand by my belief: we humans are much closer to our evolutionary roots from 2 millions years ago than we like to believe.

It's scary to realize that threads like this or the Red Pill would never exist, if someone could travel back in time to 2.1 millions years ago, and perform the Butterfly Effect on our species.

^ I would hand Lucy an ipad; that (or the viruses on its surface) would make some interesting…. evolutionary effect.

The real red pill is that there is no Red Pill and a bunch of guys were duped by con artists playing on their insecurities.

I have no idea what you're talking about tbh.
I don't know what Red Pill is or what the Butterfly Effect is.

My favourite Lucy is Snowe.

Good thing I have my own brain.

Are you talking about the viruses on the iPad's surface or the iOS viruses inside the iPad?

Speaking of viruses... can you imagine if we put the Election Infection into a glass vial, added fruity flavors to make it smell good to early humans---after all, it's a respiratory virus---then took it back to 2 millions years ago, and smashed the vial against a rock? 8O (Hey, rocks existed back then like they do today.)
