My sister-in-law is Filipina. Everything is a big deal and you're right, they're very extroverted.
Her sons are mute and shy but I think they might be autistic.

I can't be around her very much because she's just "too much".

She flies 20 hours to her grandmother's birthday every July.

I bet it would be really hard to be a JW in that culture. There seems to be higher rates of suicide in cultures like that when shunning and ostracism are involved.

I never had a birthday party or been given a birthday present.

ANYWAY, yeah, it would be hard to be an introvert in that culture. I don't think I would like it. I'm not knocking it, though. There are pluses and minuses to every culture.

What's the longest you've gone in your adult life without a relationship?

Almost 18 years.

Longest without a crush or quasi-relationship, zero.

Same question lol

I was asking Boo because I'm trying to understand his situation.

Yeah, I usually have a crush on someone.

7 years is the longest I've gone without a relationship.

I have seen a lot of filipino/a members in the Introverts’ facebook group - I feel sorry for their struggle really.

My first real relationship was at age 35, so from 18 to 35 that would be 17 years with no relationship, no “quasi stuff” included. Beat that.

Shocked? That’s the norm for most autistic males based on my interactions here.

You can be the winner if you want.
Mine was because of trauma so I was actually incel.
I mean femcel.

In an ideal world I wouldn't have waited that long.

You know what the norm is for most autistic females here. Many have either never had a relationship or had abusive ones.

I had my first boyfriend when I was 24. We never had sex and our relationship was a secret because he wasn't supposed to be dating anyone because of his stupid religious goals. I'm not really sure if he ever actually cared about me or if he just wanted someone to make out with. He would break things off and then call me within a week saying he missed me - rinse and repeat for months. I finally ended it when I couldn't be on the rollercoaster from Hell any longer. The day that I broke up with him for good was an epically bad day and not just because of the breakup although it's connected in my mind.

Then I was married.

That's all I've got in terms of relationships.

Anyway, maybe since you've not had that many relationships, you didn't realize what they were like and that you actually don't want one?

I think I would like one with someone who cares as much as I do or who cares in any meaningful way. I don't really know what that's like.

As the OP, I say that people can post pictures OR chitchat about their love life in here. :ninja:

There was no insinuation in my previous post that other people should go back to the thread topic.

I was simply declaring my personal intention. 8)

I know. I was just making my stance clear, so people don't feel like they shouldn't be conversing in here.

Yes, this pattern is almost a fact too.
