What is your ideal man/woman?

my wife requirements are:

-Mature,
-Responsible,
-has her bachelors degree
-doesnt live with parents
-independence
-honest
-doesnt gossip
-has a career or is actively pursuing it
-no kids
-never married
-invests in herself
-health and weight conscious
-neither frumpy nor simple
-niether glamerous nor ostentatcious
-messy ok, dirty NOT ok
-personal hygiene
-has a car
-accepts my ppd/aspergers

this may sound too picky but its really not asking for much...

I can never seem to throw a bunch of traits I like together into an ideal. I try to imagine someone, but it's not a person and it doesn't feel appealing at all. I do know someone (tragically unavailable) who I think would be ideal for me, though:

He's quiet and introspective on top of shy and gentle, made all the more endearing by the fact that he tries to hide it. The kind of person who feels compelled to take in strays, attends musicals, spends a lot of time lost in thought, and has creative pastimes like writing on top of programming and other computer skills.

One thing I think I would appreciate, as someone terrified of relationships, is that he considers his problems his responsibility and doesn't lash out at people in the vicinity or place the blame on someone else. Normally I'd be terrified of instability following any mood changes in my partner or in response to me not adhering to a rigid norm of behavior (too quiet, too slow to text, etc), or terrified of feeling like I'm responsible for their moods or fixing their problems instead of just providing support. He does kind of go to an extreme with it, though. It's a bit sad.

I could also throw in that I think he really has his head screwed on right when it comes to love. He's all about the journey. I don't think I'd ever need to feel like the relationship was a performance instead of a connection.

My ideal man would be...

Trustworthy
Helpful
Creative

The feeling of love, naturally!
Compatible sense of humour
Intelligent
Willing to share interests as well as to take interest in mine
Trustworthy
Willing to go off and explore new places together
That unplaceable "something", the thing that makes you click
Doesn't want children - people think I'm weird for thinking so far ahead but eh, makes sense to me.

Ah, if I could meet somebody like that, that would be awesome.

In decreasing order of importance (from "essential" to "might be nice"):

– doesn't smoke or take drugs

– asexual (but not aromantic)

To be honest I have a hard time imagining her, sometimes I'd browse okcupid profiles and look at the faces and feel so hopeless...I don't like the psuedo smile society forces on them, and the fact they're lock-step with this large concious makes me feel estranged from them.

I wish that there was one that didn't really care about being a part of this society, but the fact that each of them displays that same face means I'm on the losing end.

It just that I know I'm not compatible with what the world is, which is so different from what I am. People say they'd rather be weird than be normal, but those people have never felt the sort of desolace that being 'weird' can bring.

But I guess she would be a free spirit, without the burden of living up to expecations or traditions... just someone to explore space and time with for the creation of something to be nostalgic about. I don't really care about the rest anymore.

Ideal? What does that even mean? All I know is, if I can look into her eyes and live to tell the tale, she mustn’t be so ideal.

I’m very naïve. I’m still discovering bits of the female charm I had managed to go so far without noticing, like how much a woman’s shoulders and waist seem almost designed for a man to hold with his arms. Dancing might actually be sweet.

Of course, I might as well try to fetch some candy from a dark crater on the far side of the Moon.

i use to have all these qualities of what i want but then i realized i was searching for someone who didn't exist now i want somebody in other words a man who is nice to me that's all i really need.

I'll go for it - Ideal meansthat there is a 99% chance of there being no one like this:

Stimulating/creative - someone who makes me want to do better, just by being herself.

Healthy - neither obese nor anorexic.
