Probably on the internet because most aspies end up worse for wear in real life.

=( You're right, at least in my case.

Personally, I think you are a little brave though.

My desire to leave the country isn't just related to the country itself.

I am actually craving for a totally fresh start.

I understand. At the time my parents decided to move interstate, I felt exactly the same way, and the fresh start didn't disappoint. Sometimes it's the best thing you can do for yourself - gives you the jolt and the opportunity to make big changes in your life and within yourself.

It's more about your frame of mind. Changing your surroundings can help, but if you don't change your habits you'll just fall into the same routine as before. And if you really want you can get a fresh start by changing nothing but your outlook, it's just harder to do that way.

Thanks guys apparently Ive been deceived by sad aspie he seems to think I get it, but considering the vitriolic responses I've received here it seems I'm mistaken :

1. I am mistaken that most aspies that want a relationship can and do so it's productive long lasting and meaningful.

2.Women are strong and independent and never want to become financially dependent on a man.

3.Aspie men don't just look for hot women and sex they go for personality right.

Thanks for clearing things up with me guys. |Your so nice aren't you nowhere have I called people douches or "idiots" yet you think it's quite Ok to direct that at me, lovely.

Yeh. it took me a long to figure out that negativity itself is offensive. If you write something negative or pessimistic, and cause someone to question their beliefs (oh dear!) then they feel perfectly justified spitting vitriol at you.

So far this board has seemed as sanctimonious and full of double standards as any other forum on the internet. Really bugs me.

Anyway, I just keep in mind that people cannot handle anything even slightly provocative without having a knee-jerk defensive reaction. Here it's mob rules, just like anywhere else.

you are wrong, DetestableInsect - negativity itself isn't offensive. but being judged negatively IS offensive. it hurts to have assumptions made about us just because we are male or female or aspie or NT or hot or ugly or whatever. if members restricted their negativity to their own situation it would not be offensive, but they don't do that - they lash out at other members, and of course we aim right back at them. they can either cut the crap or deal with the consequences.

There seems to be a general trend on this forum of some members projecting their own negative thoughts, assumptions, and personality traits onto other Aspies, in fact. These people need to grow up.

Negativity isn't offensive? :D

Sounds like a challenge to me! Admit you are wrong or be prepared for the most vile misanthropy you can imagine.

Oh okay. Makes perfect sense. You can be as negative as you want, as long you exclude every other member of the human race when you do it.

Thank you for perfectly proving my point.

Misanthropy is only a natural reaction to the crappy world us humans have created, though. I'd say it's just best not to attack certain individuals. Just my two cents there.
