Why are you still single ( one reason)

In addition to Asperger's, my cluster of personality traits seem to attract a certain kind of man that I'm not attracted to - NTs without a conscience or solid code of ethics. I've had some dating instances which would have turned into the person using me for something, which I thwarted before it got that far.

I also had dates where the guy appeared to be decent with traits that I didn't mind (physically unattractive, many decades older or broke), but they usually lost interest first. The guys that usually stuck around were creeps with a newly revealed prison history or some major dealbreaker.

In my experience, the goodhearted kind of guys usually didn't like me because I could not reciprocate emotionally though i am a people-pleaser by nature, it is not good enough to be in the dating game so that's why i'm still single

I'm still not entirely clear what you mean.

The biggest reason for me is my need to have a legitimate reason/subject of conversation in order to talk to people. Today was a good example, I was at the elevator to get to my car. While I'm waiting another woman was there waiting too. I didn't say anything to her. We got in the elevator and went to the same floor. Again, I was alone with her for 4-5 minutes and didn't say anything other than, "hi". It's not because I'm shy, I just couldn't think of anything to talk about. I don't know what her interests are so I'm hesitant to bring up random topics.

There are a couple of reasons but I think my biggest is that I may be unattractive to the opposite sex... Granted there's the whole lack of social experience but I think the primary reason is that I'm not attractive enough ^^

In one way or another I'm too different from everyone that has ever existed, currently exists, and perhaps ever will exist.

Unsure if I want to impose myself on another at this point.

Although I'm not currently single the past 15 years the reason would have been too scarred to even talk to a girl I like. I've gotten much better but if I were single again I'm sure that would still be my problem

I get attached quickly and i can't seem to control myself sometimes. I always let the other person know how much i care for them. I guess guys don't like girls to do the chasing. When will i learn...
