Wait, so do sly's posts contain sexist rants or are these accusations just coming from those who think desiring to be in a relationship is a form of objectification?

If there's no will to change then nothing will change. L and D can be either constructive or destructive at the end of the day and it is probably going to stay as it has become.

I'm OK with women related threads going in the current women's sub forum (which I think men should be allowed to read, but if they could refrain from arguing in it that would be great) but I have no problem with men contributing if they're not going to be bulldozers. Some men who contribute there actually manage that.

The only time I really see a lot of men posting in Womens is when men are being talked about, especially if the the topic is gender politics, and I really feel those specific threads should be moved to PPR, while Womens should be more reserved for topics related to the experience of being AS and female. I often feel like political topics are started in there intentionally to "hide" from the kind of scrutiny they'd receive in PPR, and especially in the case of the periodic attempts to gin up support for pressuring Alex to change the site rules, I feel like men deserve a voice in those discussions.

and let's have PPR for women and PPR for men, General Autism for women, GA for men...etc.

Seriously? Is this a public toilet?

Let's go full Sharia on this forum

Perhaps just a men's wp and a women's wp

With a a meeting hut in the demilitarized zone surrounded by mods. And divided by a wall where posts from either sided see reviewed and edited before passed on.

Suppose were need some form of evidence provided by memebers to prove their gender.
Probably a facebooke and investigation process to prove the person is real and who they say they are. Sure we'll lose many people and some might kill themselves but others feelings and idology will be protected,

Also women who feel more comfortable around men and disagree tin the others idology will be stuck like those stuck in North Korea. Likewise for men. Equality can only come from censorship and segregation.

Perhaps wp will become like In the show vandread. Where women and men hate each other and don't even know what each other look like are are, having been raised on separate planets for hundreds or thousands of years.

Check my posts and my exchange with equal on page 13 and you will understand the real problem in L&D.
I give concrete example instead of throwing "there is of that and this in L&D".

I only post int women's forum when I try to cheer up or help the op and never when it is requested men don't post in the thread.

Also, I can't resist adding, I definitely felt a bit of a "and the last horse crosses the finish line" when I saw this thread, I mean L&D has been the armpit of WP for years, far worse than PPR, and it's not even as bad as it's been in the past at the moment.

I certainly experienced on one user doing that. Deliberately using it as a shield to bait.

Recently Women's discussion has been fine, mainly becuase most people are perfectly reasonable and not hung up.

The people who wanted total segregation formed their own private forum on another site, which is what people were advising them to do in the first place.

Yeah, I'd agree with that move it if it's a real PPR issue. However, the one about do women really want a rich bloke, I thought would have been an interesting read if it was allowed to evolve with only female contribution. Just too see what they had to say without feeling defensive.

I'm interested in the way people think. I like to see how a conversation evolves. However a real problem on here is people are too caught up in putting their own view forward and won't allow expression. I am right because x,y,z read this study and here's a link to thus data.

It's an aspie thing. We like facts and everything to be black and white, but the reality us that life has many nuances and we're all prone to personal bias.

You're one of those people Dox. We don't have to debate everything. We can just let people express themselves. I know there's women here who do that too, so I'm not just blaming you.

No the real problem is when people notice negative traits and attitudes in the opposite sex and decide to focus solely on that and block out anything positive.

Yes, there are people out there with bad qualities, but we don't have to keep dwelling on that. Also, it makes the people of the opposite sex with good qualities feel like you can't see them. And that is what makes us angry.

I'm going to send you all away to watch Pollyanna. Even when life is bad there are things to be glad about.

That should be a prerequisite for posting in L&D, you must watch Pollyanna and post 10 things to be glad about.
