Yes but not for the single girls as they don't have a guy to not be helping them out.

Obesity is as unhealthy as smoking yet our culture doesn't have a campaign to end smoker-shaming.

But remember the herd mentality. If a girl's married friends all eat take out, why should she cook for one?

The herd mentality needs to die. If a girl's married friends jump of a cliff, that doesn't mean she should follow them.

There are smoke-shaming adverts on trains in NYC, and on TV as well.

Exactly. Why is it ok to shame smokers but we have a sociological campaign to end fat-shaming?

^ We have ads like this. Obesity can also cause impotance. Where's the ad saying obesity can cause impotance?

You hit it right on the head, here. I think a lot of aspie men suffer from "Internet Male Syndrome"; that is, unrealistic standards molded by years of porn consumption. As if a beautiful woman is a priceless work of art to be scrutinized, rather than a human being with thoughts and feelings.
Stop the stupid theories on us, seriously - I am reporting this and putting stop to this misandry here.
A non-overweight woman =/= a pornstar.

So either one extreme or the other?
So if a man doesn't find obesity attractive then he must be after women who look like pornstars only - logic.
You make up plenty of theories yourself people could call stupid as well as tell people they are lying about their personal experiences or feelings related to those experiences. I doubt the mods are going to do anything about you reporting someone for thinking a lot of guys with aspergers might have unrealistic standards.

The issue at hand how is a woman who weights 175 severely morbidly obese compared to a guy who weighs 172 pounds? no one has explained this yet.

Also I don't see where anyone suggested if a guy doesn't find obesity attractive he only goes after women who look like porn stars...you're really good at exaggerating and misrepresenting what people actually say.

As Boo suggested men and women are built differently. There are differences in height, build, muscle mass, bone density, etc.

I'm 6'2. At 172 pounds I'd have a BMI of 22.1. That's not overweight.

Most women are less than 6 foot. The average American woman is 5'4. At 172 pounds she'd have a BMI of 29.6. A far cry from 22.1.
That poster did not mention the womans height, and he himself 5'10 so still under the 6 foot range.
I didn't realise this 175 pound girl was a real person. I thought you were speaking hypothetically. 175 pounds is overweight not morbidly obese.

As for the guy, he's no slim jim himself. He's just 2 pounds away from being overweight. He's also a few inches underheight.

I agree with Boo's point that to say a man is either attracted to any weight or only attracted to pornstars is a false-dichotomy.

Well yes it is, but I don't think anyone suggested that guys are either attracted to any weight or only attracted to pornstars.

Also that is exactly my point a 175 pound female may likely be overweight but he's not exactly far from it himself, so kind of unfair he views someone only two pounds heavier as severely overweight and unhealthy.

Oh....the Knight of Venus is striking again.

So a healthy weight is now an unrealistic standard?

The OP actually said:
Quote:
they are always very overweight women, i.e. 175lbs+, 200lbs, 250lbs

So he was talking about weights more than 175lb, and he didn't call them morbidly obese either.

The 172/175 numbers depend pretty much on the person's height tho; if I was 172 myself then yeah I would be considered very fat.

But is 175 really 'very overweight' compared to 172 pounds which he says he weighs? I think there is quite a difference between 175 and 250lbs certainly moreso than 172 and 175. Also I do not think nor have I ever suggested that healthy weight is an unrealistic standard, however someone being a bit overweight doesn't necessarily mean they are unhealthy unless its more severe.

Also I don't even know what the hell the knight of venus is...so not sure what you are on about with that.

I don't think I said they did. That was Boo's idea.

As I said, on average men are taller than women. This guy is 5'10, 4 inches shorter than I am but 5'10 is still taller than 98.7% of women in the US so chances are, she's shorter than him.

Also there are differences in muscle mass, bone density, build, etc.

As I said, I'm 6'2. Imagine if I was with a girl who's 5'4. Imagine we both weigh 175 pounds. Which of us do you think will be fatter?

Yes Boo. A healthy weight is now an unrealistic standard.

Apperantly the woman in the ad above set an "unrealistic body image".

She does not look underweight to me

I wonder if Mayor Sadiq Khan was bribed by McDonald's to get those ads taken down

Because the woman's body in that add is unachivable by most and is heavily posed and photoshopped.

Just look at this woman

Yes. She's nice. I wouldn't call her fat. It's interesting to note that the girl in the ad doesn't keep her arms away from her body or smile. She doesn't need to twist her body to the side or wear black.

As for her body being "unachievable" I see many women with that kind of body in the train station every morning. I also see a lot of women who are a lot slimmer than her.

I assure you that the women I look at in real life have not been photoshopped.
