i'd go for it anyway Quartz11, because you have nothing to lose (unless she's actually in a relationship, because that would be weird). you've been waiting a long time already.

but i am not an expert on how to deal with hings like that appropriately - i tend to really bold and brash.

good luck, i'm crossing my fingers for you.

Nope. She's not in any sort of relationship. I just saw her leave at about 4, so she could get back to her apt. and get ready to head back home to visit friends there... and apparently the other guy.

I had gone to the city about 11 with my brother, my cousin, and my cousin's fiancee. The gal came along at about 12:30 or so, I had her meet me at a subway station. She followed the four of us for a few hours as my cousin and her fiancee (here from the west coast) followed their touristy itinerary.

I'm not sure what to make of the day. I really don't. I really should ask my cousin and try and get her thoughts on what happened. I hope she had a good day today, and she did give me a hug right before we split off - us to the car, her to the subway station.

While we were walking, I had mentioned to her that I had two goals for the day. One was to see her, the other was to go to a record store. And she had responded something like "cause I'm the cool girl"? I said something like... yea. Never got to the record store either... my brother wouldn't let me stray off long enough to make a quick stop there.

Well, I'm home for winter break and I already miss my bf. He's 100 miles away now. :(

We're gonna try to plan some time for him to visit during the month that I'm home. I hope my mom likes him. :)

Awww at least you can call/text/e-mail etc - better than no contact at all. :D

I hope he can visit. A month apart would be horrible! >.<

Exactly. We exchanged around 200 text messages today and it's my first full day home. I'm charging my phone now. XD

Yeah. We'll work something out. If nothing else, I can visit his house for a while cuz he can't be away from his house for too long due to his dojo schedule. He can be at my house for a weekend, if the weather permits. I dunno. I have his Christmas present and I hope he liiiikes iiiit. >.<

TBH, I'm not a big text guy at all. But then again, an iPhone isn't the best texting phone IMO.

I have an LG Xenon and he has a Samsung. I can't remember which model but it also has a full keyboard. Both are very good texting phones. I just feel so awkward actually talking on the phone most of the time. Although we did talk on the phone for an hour a few nights ago when I was feeling sad about my great aunt asking me to pray for her so she can see Christmas this year. :( He made me feel better just by letting me vent and hearing his voice.

Post how happy your current/past/near future relationship makes you feel.

I'm very much in love and it's super lovely.
What does your significant other do to make you smile? (:

WE NEED MORE POSITIVITY - BECAUSE SELF CONFIDENCE IS SEXY!

I'm going to try to put this thread back to it's original intent: saying something positive.

I once went out on a date. After five minutes, we both knew it would not work out. Nevertheless, we hung out for a few hours and had a good time. Being we had originally planned to get dinner and were both hungry, we went to a restaurant she liked but I had never been to before. Although I haven't seen her since, the restaurant has become one of my favs.

Dating can be an adventure!

I really, really like the Samsung Captivate - it's the AT&T version of the Galaxy S running Google's Android OS. I almost bought one when my iPhone walked off...

I think that's what my brother has. It's nice. I still love my phone too and intend to keep it until it dies. :)

When I went back to Verizon, I ate through 5 BlackBerries. When I came back to AT&T last year after Christmas, I bought my 1st and so far only iPhone 3GS. It's never had to visit the Apple store for anything.

Called my potential date and left her a message with time, date and venue. She's probably asleep from the graveyard shift. I'm crossing my fingers.

there's a whole forum for that, let us have 1 happy thread
lord knows we need it

that goes for anyone else who feels like whining too

Except it's not a happy thread, it's a "rub it in everyone else's face" thread...

screw that!
this forum doesn't revolve around you
I am not going to be god damned miserable just because you say so
what is no one ever allowed to have any shred of happiness, just because you don't
you know you are far more immature then I had ever imagined

no one asked you to read any of this, but you do and whine and spam constantly how you are so sad and no one else deserves to be happy
you are a very immature person, and as long as you stay like this, I can guarantee you, you'll be miserable for a long time
this thread isn't going away just because you feel no one should be happy

If people want to be happy then they can go right ahead... I just don't want to hear about it. It sounds to me like the OP's relationship is going along just fine... so why does she need to go to a support forum for something that doesn't need support? If anything, i'm jealous... jealous of the fact that they have everything I ever wanted in life, with seemingly little effort involved. I see these posts and I feel mocked, as I have fallen short of the bar, unable to attain the same happiness as those around me. If you want to call that immature, go right ahead.

and you are immature, not everyone stays depressed forever and this forum isn't purely a place to be sad, people are allowed to be happy too
nobody has the right to be a dick to someone just because they're jealous
you have no idea of the sort of effort, say emlion had to put into said relationship, you just talk without knowing
flee when others are right and spam threads that-either are off topic, or are meant to be happy (eg the only 1) you have an entire love and dating forum and you insist in ruining this 1 thread
you'll never get anywhere with such immaturity

Toad apologised to me and such through PM and he said he's not gonna post on this board anymore. So; no need to worry about it anymore and being mean. :)

OT: We tried to put the Christmas tree up 2 days ago - I am still finding glitter everywhere - Stefan thought it would be fun to cover me in glitter every time I looked away. >.<
