I had to look that up because I didn’t know what a “fascinator” was. I wouldn’t wear one either. Once, I was obligated to go to a brunch with female friends of the family, and we were all supposed to wear dresses. I wore pants.

After being forced to wear a dress for religious activities for so many years, wearing one has to be entirely on my own terms. If people try to get me to wear a dress, I’m gonna wear pants without fail even if I had originally considered a dress.

We do that by Door Dash.

Since I live in a small town with little diversity nearby, that’s not really an option for me.

Me & Cass don't eat out very often due to the costs & hassle. Cass hates the idea of leaving our apartment just go out to eat & when we go out for other reasons like shopping or appointments she wants to get back home & eating out would add to her stress. I want to eat out more than she does but I cant really afford to & I'd have to take a bus to get to anyplace I'd want to eat at. I ate out a lot more when we lived at our old apartment because it was more affordable then & I could walk to a couple places 20/30 minutes away. A bit of those times I went by myself while she was spending a day or two with family.

I can’t stand the background noise or having to wear a bra. Restaurants are usually freezing cold too.

I’m low maintenance that way.

I won’t eat at restaurants with a dress code, so I usually just wear clothes that I wear around the house. Everything in my wardrobe feels like PJs. I love that casual attire isn’t solely centered around jeans anymore.

Any women on the forums correct me if you would: Most of the things I just listed are behaviors that's not boyfriend material. Most girls love going out to eat, most of them get bored easily, and mostly like a spontaneous lifestyle. I'm mostly the opposite of those things and I wouldn't be surprise if some men we're like this as well.

I'm a lot like you. I eat a pretty repetitive diet. I like the predictability of eating the same general foods all the time. Anyone with a repetitive diet, there's a high chance they're on the spectrum.

Then like you, I don't like sports (and even though you didn't mention this, I don't like going clubbing/bar-hopping either).

I hate spontaneous spur of the moment stuff too.

Perhaps we're simply not meant to be boyfriend material.

^ My brother has those characteristics/preferences, and he’s married. His wife is even more rigid with that stuff than he is. My brother used to be a bit more extreme although he’s mellowed over time.

I like to stick to the same foods but in all other areas of my life I get bored really easily. I wish I were the type to just be content.

Last time I ate at a restaurant with a dress code was when I was working at IHOP as a dish-washer. I had to follow the employee dress code & I only ate when they offered me free food which wasn't very often. My cloths for going out are the same cloths I wear around the house unless I have to wear long sleeves due to weather. One of the reasons Cass gets stressed about having to go out is because she worries about having to shower & change into decent cloths first. She would have an easier time if she was a tad more like me with that. She says it's because the social standards are different for her because she's a woman. I say it's because she's a lot more sensitive to rejection whereas I'm too much in my head daydreaming to worry or really notice  Besides it's not uncommon for us to see others dressed worse than we are during warmer weather but to be fair that bar is very low.

My house outfit is my underwear. Living by myself, I have no reason to wear anything more than underwear.

Once I'm home for the day (and have taken my clothes off), I don't feel like getting dressed again. This is one reason I hate spontaneous spur-of-the-moment plans.

I'm like that & so is my girlfriend which is one of the reasons we're a good match. She often says she's different than typical women but she is very likely also on the spectrum.

Congrats to you man, you found a good one

I also like going and doing things that interest me - stuff like visiting zoos, museums, national parks, aquariums, and enjoying classical music concerts and ballets - not that I’ve gotten to do that in a long time. I’m still not what I’d consider spontaneous, and I certainly don’t get bored easily. For me, it’s more about creating new memories, learning new things, and enjoying special interests although I still spend most of my time doing quiet activities at home.

My main point: you can’t really generalize women because we’re all different and have different personality types and preferences.

Most of the places you've just listed I would like going as well; especially museums. And yes I can agree with your point. I think it's the fear of playing the guessing game for the right personality and seeing too many people that's not for you.

Clubbing to me is the anti-Christ lol. I'm with you on that too. Also yeah, I wouldn't say there isn't hope but at the same time, dating is on Legendary Mode for us

Why do boring people have so much contempt for people who prefer not-boring?

I def think so. She does have her various issues but I have quite a lot myself. She's a lot more understanding & accepting than others are. Maybe karma balanced out. Of coarse the relationship is lots of hard work for both of us.

I think this goes back to Twilight Princesses point on preferences. For me, I like certain trading card games and I think they are super interesting. Other people may find it boring. What I'm finding is everyone has their definition of what's boring or what isn't. Another good example would be like i mentioned about sports. A LOT of people thinks it's a gift to mankind. Other's like myself see it as you're just throwing a ball around; I don't get it.
