I scored a 5.6 when smiling, 5.2 when neutral.

So it's objectively settled then: the easiest way to be (a bit) more attractive is to smile.

Subjectively, I would say that smiling helps :)

Indeed. We need to keep in mind this thread seems to be intending to collect feedback from users making observations, ideally casting the widest net possible in the process.

I have a "lifetime" of observation to draw upon.
While there are exceptions to the rule, most couples find partners in their respective "physical leagues", in my considered opinion.

I have university and a decade in heavy industry dominated by thousands of men of all shapes and sizes.

I noticed that while most men regardless of appearance can get into relationships, the muscular, lean men seem to have a lot more attention from women.

It's normal to be on breaks and even during work time seeing these men receive phone calls and messages from random women that they barely know.

My charcoal drawing of Jesus got 5.6. He’s decidedly not happy or smiling in the picture.

See what happens if the charcoal drawing smiles....

Oh well.....that drawing is as "good-looking" as me when I'm smiling. Maybe he goes up to a 7 when he smiles?

There was this guy who appeared on the undatables back in 2016 called Tom Morgan. All the girls swooned over him on social media.

More to the point someone commented that “No one would look at him if he had an average look”

I don’t think that smiling necessarily makes someone better looking.

My art would automatically garner a 1.

Why can't I be an even decent artist? :(

Probably because you don’t practice.

It’s a skill that requires a lot of time and interest.
