@BlueMax, how is this thread a "guy party"? If you take off the heteronormative-tinted lenses you may notice many of the women posting in this thread aren't entirely heterosexual. ;)

Most... but not all. One or two had a different objective. ;) S'okay... the girls can stick around and see how we boys think!
(And to prevent this from becoming a complete sausage-fest.)

Types of women I don't want:

-Women who smoke and/or are alcoholics

-Overtly religious types

-Women who are abusive/manipulative/controlling

-Women who are just downright ignorant or crazy or thinks the world revolves around her

-Women who already have kids who act like complete brats

-Women who have a problem with the opposite gender

Women who are complete jerks or who have kids and teach their children or have taught their children to be absolute jerks.

I'll go about describing her traits:

1. Hedonistic (pursues pleasure as a path to happiness)
2. Superficial
3. Vain
4. Idiotic
5. Contains silicon "enhancements"
6. Uses spray tan
7. Oblivious
8. Authoritarian
9. Unquestioning
10. Arrogant
11. Superiority complex
12. Drama queen

I could actually go on forever.

There's alot of personality traits we don't like, some we can put up with, there's really just 2 in particular I can't even give someone the light of day if they have them. I can't do the overly religious, I don't belive in god, I don't want help believing in god, I don't want my future children believing in god and the whole mentality of life and everything in general that comes with religion just isn't my lifestyle at all. The opinionated/elitist mentality I can't stand either. It's okay if I'm legitimately wrong about something, but some people just want to force opinions on you or attack you if you disagree with them, not even just politics/big issues etc but even little things in life.. I couldn't put up with that. f**k, I couldn't even put up with it as friends. :?

Sometimes you need to break your list and give it a try.
Even if it doesn't work, you're sure to learn something new about what you do or don't like, and maybe your list will change. Or become even more fixated (which isn't always a bad thing). Maybe you'll even realize that their 'bad traits' are acceptable, the way they manage them:

Example:
I prefer a nonsmoker: Why?
I hate ashtrays and smelly rooms.
But! I'm dating a smoker right now
She smokes outside.
Thus; I don't have to deal with ashtrays or fumes.
She knows it and brushes teeth and showers regular before bed.
Acceptable.

(Caveat: She doesn't earn enough money to support the habit. Not Acceptable, and if there's a next time, this will be a consideration)

Hypocritical women who have children and tell their children to be well-mannered & respectful towards others when really it's the mother who needs to be well-mannered & respectful towards others herself.

My standards are the same regardless of gender. For reference:

ruckus wrote:
I try to keep myself open to all kinds of people, but there are a few whom I definitely wouldn't get along with, such as:

Conservatives (people who are anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage, etc). I'm pretty left-wing in my views and we would no doubt clash horns!
People who are racist, homophobic, sexist, or otherwise stand firmly against the march for equality I believe in.
Someone who's just a plain old jerk and has little or no respect for the feelings of other's.
Really intense "gamers". I enjoy some video games but I play maybe three a year and they're short ones at that, so somebody who's main hobby is playing video games is not for me.
People with really low self-esteem. Everyone has their hang-ups and that's okay but if you are always putting yourself down or wallowing in your own self-pity I don't see a relationship blossoming anytime soon (this is mostly because I have moved passed that point in my life and want to be around people who are at my level).
People who smell rank all the time or whom I have to constantly remind to shower daily.
Anybody who "hates animals". It creeps me out.

That's it really, I'm pretty flexible with everything else, though having a creative outlet of some kind and being physically attractive to me (this is circumstantial) is a huge bonus.
