My gf seems to be bothered that I am 'white and privileged'.

She also say that the protestors aren't actually protesting the mandate like they say they are, and it's just a front for alterior racist motives. But if the protest is just a front for another goal, how would getting rid of the mandate achieve a racist goal? How does getting rid of a vaccine mandate, make the world better for racists?

Unless I am missing the obvious?

I'd like to know, also.
Have you asked her to explain her thinking?

She says that getting rid of the mandate is just a small stepping stone to insert control in the government, but if racism is the goal, getting rid of a mandate seems like a very loose and small, insignificant stepping stone, at least to me. I told her this as well.

Is she talking about the Canadian government?

Yes she is talking about the truckers wanting to control the Canadian government and how that is a stepping stone, to build upon their real racist goals.

What is the connection between getting rid of the mandate and racism?

She says the racist truckdrivers are wanting to get rid of the mandate in order to put fear into the government, which will be a stepping stone into their racist goals later on.

I know this for a fact. I learned it from a specific source. It doesn't get much love on here, but it really opened my eyes to how straight relationships work.

If straight relationships were as peaceful and conflict-free as LGBT relationships, divorce rates would be 5%, not 50%. But you can't fight biology and evolution.

So you have spoken to ponyman's girlfriend, then.
I see. 8)

Dude... for the love of god, dump her!! She's a danger to your mental health! Kick her out of your life already!! You're 37. There's no way your sex drive is so high, that sex is worth ruining your mental health for it. I'd reluctantly understand if you were 18, but not now.

So, how is not having a mandate fearful for the government?

She says because if they win and get their way, the government will be giving into them and lifting the mandate, and thus the government would be fearful, if they had to give in and lose, essentially.

What has this got to do with the protesters being racist?

Most LBGT+ relationships I've seen are bombastic, with many arguments.
Like, what would they fight over? :? With two men or two women, people "say" and "mean" the same thing. There are never any conniving, manipulative mind games like "you just don't get it!" or "if you don't know why I'm mad at you, then I'm not telling you!", like in straight relationships. Well, maybe fights over money/budgets, but that's all I can think of.

Oh please. Don't get me started on dating women as a woman. I used to have a theory like yours, that it should be that way, but alas, it was nothing of the sorts. No matter how you try, you can never read another person's mind.

Sad gay songs are the exact hint you would need that it's not anywhere better. Plus gay people often fall in love with their friends and theres no chance of it working, because it's unrequited. Not everyone's gay.

Agreed.
You can speculate, not read minds. 8)

Well if the political stuff going on right now, and her wanting me to agree with her perhaps, ends up killing the relationship let's say, do you think it's best to be weary of dating women of possible certain other races, because they are likely going to use my 'whiteness' against me?

It depends on the person.
All women aren't the same last time I looked. ;)

But if it happens and you are looking for another "friend", it would be prudent to find out if a similar situation might happen again.

This was the case with me not that long ago.
I had a friend who suddenly discovered she wasn't interested in being a friend with someone who was not a progressive, thus ending our friendship.

Guess wot?
With the next friend I was developing a relationship with, I did inquire early if political leanings were going to be a problem. ;)

That's true, good points. Well what I find hard to understand is, my gf has an IQ of 146 but how does someone with an IQ that high, buy into conspiracy theories involving racism, without much evidence, etc?

Good question I guess? I mean I guess she wants more than a possible equally matching IQ as do I.

IQ frequently means beans.

Anyway….she’s mostly not of “another race.” She just sort of acts like it sometimes.

Well I just find her conspiracy theory rants, and her being frustrated if I do not agree with them, to be kind of annoying, but everything else in the relationship is great. Just have to listen to something like maybe once a week give or take. But everything else is going great, so I wonder, since all relationships are not perfect, perhaps it's still worth it if everything else seems to be firing on all cylinders?
