Eligible Odd-Bods! - The Premier Aspergian Singles List
IMPORTANT: Yep, I'm a girl. My avatar is clearly not me (bonus points to anyone that recognises him, though).
I'm 31 and I'm looking to meet someone who's not the boring stereotypes I find on dating sites.
This means I'm looking for guys who can hold conversations on a variety of topics, is curious about the world and wants some adventure in life. By adventure, I mean travel and exploration, trying new things in new places. I don't like nightclubs and I'm not a fan of getting drunk. I'd also like to meet someone who doesn't just want to jump into bed because... well, that's not gonna happen until I get to know someone really well.
I love to talk. And I mean, A LOT. On all sorts of subjects. I'm creative (I write, draw and paint) and I'm certainly not a stereotype in anyway. I'm about to start a new job but I'm not one of those people who's obsessed with work.
If you're one of those people who answers 'Don't know' when asked your opinion, sorry - you're not for me. If you think you can hold your own in a chat and are willing to accompany me on my pointless adventures around Europe (and possibly beyond) then send me a PM!
Oh, I guess I should mention: I'm English and Italian, 5'3" (or thereabouts), black hair and brown eyes. And for once don't have to worry about whether or not to mention that I have aspergers!

Okay, here's me:
My name is Michael and I am 37, from Simcoe, Ontario Canada.
I have brown hair and big hazel eyes. They were brown until my late twenties when then changed to hazel.
I am about 5' 8" and of medium build. I have a little bit of a tummy, but I am not overweight at all. I am only 157 lbs. Nothing a few abs exercises couldn't cure. I'm left handed.
I think my facial looks are average.
I am unemployed right just having lost my job due to store closing. Thanks Target. I was the receiver at the Zellers store I worked at.
I love music and books and movies. The Beatles, The Beach Boys (Brian Wilson) and John Denver are my particular favs. My leanings in general are towards 70s and 80s classic rock. Also film soundtracks, particularly by John Williams. I tried to play acoustic guitar once, and I was okay, I just couldn't handle the trickier fingerings on the fret board. I love the James Bond series of films and anything Alfred Hitchcock. I prefer older movies as opposed to some of the newer stuff - though I did like The Hobbit, Les Miserables, and Lincoln. My favourite movie is Close Encounters of the Third Kind starring Richard Dreyfuss, Terri Garr and Melinda Dillon. I was an X-Files fan and still am. I never missed an episode when it originally aired. I also like Star Trek. I am looking forward to Stephen King's Under The Dome which begins next month. I like the short lived series of John Grisham's The Firm and the even shorter series The River.
Favourite authors are Grisham, King, Agatha Christie, Clive Cussler, Michael Crichton, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
I love nature and taking trail walks. I always take my camera with me as I enjoy taking pictures of nature and wildlife. Some day I'd like to go west to see the Rockies. I'd think I'd go to Jasper, Alberta if I ever went.
I love baseball. My team is the Toronto Blue Jays. I play the game fairly well, I think. I just don't get much of a chance to flex my muscles. I'm pretty strong. My looks are deceiving because I don't look strong until you see me lift something heavy, then you realize that I am.
I'm a writer. I wrote one novel that I self published as an ebook - Miss Candace. The main male character, Simon, is an aspie. Since he is mostly me, I think I portrayed his character well. Check it out - Google: miss Candace ebook to find it. I have one other novel that I have just finished editing and another under way. I also have some short stories. Head to: http://www.michaelstitt-authorwillowbypublishing.com/baby-cadence.html to read one.
I also write poems about various subjects. Some of them are about love and romance. I believe that I have a romantic heart on the inside, I'm just not so hot on showing it on the outside, but if the right woman came along...
I've never had a date. No female ever thought about me that way. Some have been nice to me, others don't want to know me. I think it's my face. I know I look very serious most of the time and that I say very little. In fact, I think I do have a pretty good sense of humor.
I am tired of being lonely all the time. I would love to have someone to call a friend or something more if it was in the cards.
Well, this is my first post, so it might look like I'm just here for love and dating. Maybe I am!
Name: Emil
Age: 32
Sexual orientation: Heterosexual cisgender man.
Location: Sweden. And I can't move anywhere else either.
Physical description: Thick glasses, thinner hair, nice smile, 186 cm, 100 kg and dropping. Often found barefoot; dressed cheaply, practically and astylistically. Distinguishing marks largely absent except for some scars on hands, left hip and right thigh.
Education: 3 years of public school and 9 years of Waldorf school followed by an ongoing appreciation for informal education.
Sports: Mostly walking, some general exercise. I sometimes like to watch sumo wrestling in small doses.
Music: All day long, whenever I remember that such a thing exists. I may be persuaded to sing too.
Other Shizzle: I like books, including comic books. Have been writing one for the past decade. I think it's going to turn out really good.
Personality: I am often quiet and withdrawn. Being around people can make me uncomfortable and exhausted, but I still want to do it as much as possible. I like to think things through carefully and plan for the long term, but I despise being confined by plans and preconceptions. I think I have answers to every question, but I have never kissed a girl. I want everyone to read what I write and give me feedback, but I can hardly put two words together when anyone asks me what I think about anything. Basically, I'm a person.
Religion: Humanist. I think humanity needs someone to believe in it.
Things or people I don't like: Routines, money, labels, impossibility, disloyalty, tomatoes, poor spelling, that haunting ineffable distance between myself and everyone else.

Hi! I'm a 25 year old girl who lives in Essex/London, and I'm looking for friendships and possibly a relationship.
I would like to speak to someone open-minded. I think the key to a great relationship is a great friendship underlying it all - someone who is there for me. In fact, if a relationship doesn't happen and we get on, then I would love to be friends. I believe interests don't necessarily form the basis of a relationship, rather, I think it's the spark that's more important.
I like to have my own space and I don't feel the need to text or call every day. At the same time, I couldn't function in a relationship where I saw the person less than twice a week, so long-distance relationships are not an option.
I would describe myself as friendly, logical and very honest. I like studying people. I'm into how people think generally, but not Psychology as a subject. I guess I just like observing people for myself, instead of looking through Freudian theories. I'm also a bit into body language. I've studied people to improve my way of interpreting them. It has helped me greatly, and I appreciate myself and others more as a result. It's also funny to observe how much people actually do mirror you.
I enjoy walking and exploring new places, and I enjoy yoga. I'm into RnB music, 90s music and 2-step Garage. I love Tom & Jerry. I love a lot of Disney stuff, including their old Silly Symphonies cartoons. I also love Spongebob, and I'm sure if more adults watched it, they would get the humour and actually find it's really funny (up to series 5). I like the very early Southparks as they're quite witty. I like to cook sometimes. If I don't, I'll buy a sandwich as most ready meals apart from a pizza - to me, just taste plain awful. I don't really care what you eat though, I'm not judgmental like that.
I love intelligence, but it isn't really needed. I much prefer open-mindedness, which I guess is another form of intelligence...emotional intelligence perhaps? Intelligent people are often quite rigid thinkers, and sometimes judgmental which I don't like. So yes, if you just like questioning things, then I'm sure we'll get along.
