Are we all aware that Daryl Hannah has been out for awhile as an aspie? The mermaid in Splash and eyepatch lady in Kill Bill?
And we know for real what she looks like, because we saw her model face and mile long legs captured in film, rather than through a heavily angled/airbrushed headshot?
Yes, she is gorgeous - cool!
Did you read the very original poster who thought that most Aspie women are not attractive? (Sorry to the original poster if I got it wrong).
Two things:
You don't know what someone looks like in real life if you have only seen them on film - ever heard of makeup artists and the number of hours they spend to make people look fab, even for natural looking scenes (she is gorgeous anyway - but plenty of actors are immensely enhanced on film)
Secondly, all the pics I saw in this post are of lovely gorgeous women - I loved Magnus's posed picie (she mentioned she copied some model) and I think sunshower had one I really liked, very artistic. Loved MeDdaGreek’s funky shot! Is it a sin if girls do a bit of playful fun - nobody here is going "I am hot vote for me"! I think you are judging every one way too harshly.
Hey all the girls who posted - I think you are gorgeous! Especially Miss Construe!

Tech, I don't see the entire thread as being the way I described- but a lot of it is. And some of the self-deprecatiing statements are female ploys for compliments. Understandable behavior, but not commendable.
Oh I so want to take the high road ......but I can’t as you are so condescending! I have had two modelling contracts offers from top agencies (which I turned down) ...and spent most of my life being fed up of the attention I get. In my book neither of that makes me attractive.
Personally, I feel very safe at the WP as it really is a friendly forum where you can actually relax, and be at peace with yourself. I wouldn’t even dream of posting a pic at another forum – I don’t know why you are trying to suggest that the tone is low on this sub-forum – as I think it is quite opposite – it is women being confident in themselves and not insecure.
(Apologies - if my post is coming across strong - but I think there is enough criticism of women in society in general, no matter what they do - without us starting at each other as well! )
