Yeah, cohabiting. Just as long as she doesn't know about my money. There was a news article a few weeks ago stating that more men and women are accumalating "secret wealth" from their partners. Trust is basically a dead issue nowadays anyway.

Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't (blind) trust basicly the base of any relation?

Yeah, in a love story. Reality is too cold.

I'm not just talking about love relationships, but the relation you have with a friend, parent, roommate, etc.

For me this is the foundation for further contact. Without it I am done with that person, unless I have to deal with person on daily base - then it's just bussiness, no scrutiny.

There are levels of trust and differences in the types of relations, but in my view blind trust is prequisite to intimate relationship.

That's sad, and in many cases (if they are legally married), illegal.

I never understood married couples who kept separate accounts -- we pool our money. Seems so petty to say "here's your half of the power bill, pay me" when you're married. :?

Under CA law, what is mine is hers anyways -- If we got divorced, CA law divides the estate 50/50, regardless of fault.

This right here is a good reason not to get married (unless, of course, your partner is significantly wealthier than yourself).

My money is mine thank you very much.

I extremely agree with you, it took me years to get what I have and I won't have some women marrying me and then divorcing me 2 years later and taking half of it. I am not that stupid.

Selling is legal. Sex is legal. So why isn't selling sex legal?

Argue with THAT.

Because if the government don't like something, neither should you. Welcome to the free market.

Having sex is an art now?

How would you define art?
I would define art as any form of creative work aimed at an audience and intended primarily as an expression of the self and/or to inspire emotion.
Sexual arousal, I would categorize as an emotion. Film, I would categorize as creative work aimed at an audience. Sex, I would call a very personal expression of the self.
So yes, I would consider porn art, even though it's not in general a genre I am personally a fan of.

I wouldn't agree that porn can be characterized as "self-expression".
By DEFINITION it's material intended to produce sexual arousal in those who view it.
I fail even more miserably to see how sexual arousal is an "emotion".

I agree that prostitution is identical to porn in many ways, the terms are only different.
The "john" becomes "the user".
The "prostitute" becomes the "actress".
The "pimp" becomes the "agent" and "producers".
The "fee" becomes the "salary".
All this falls under the heading of "getting paid to perform sex acts to get someone off."

A very good counter point. I should'a thought of that!
