I prefer NT and sane. I just don't have the instincts to figure out what a non-standard person is thinking. Genuinely crazy girls are too chaotic and I'll always be 10 steps behind rather than 4.

My wife (married 7 years) is NT though quite unique in a variety of ways. My main other lover is an aspie (been together about 20 years). Pretty much everyone with whom I've been in relationship is quirky in some way. I like to be with people who have really good introspection, and take full responsibility for their own well being while at the same time being able to give and receive compassion (even if the neurological basis for communicating compassion is a bit scrambled).

Perhaps, in a way, I am describing sanity, though I certainly do not believe in the conventional notion that the ultimate goal of mental health is to move toward "normal".

I suppose I should add that if anyone is confused by any part of the first paragraph, the Polyamory thread might be interesting.

Depends on the mental illness. I would prefer to be with a "normal" (i.e. passive-aggressive, bitchy, hyper-emotional, hyper-empathetic) female than one with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. That would be a nightmare.

An Asperger's chick would be interesting.

My ex had sever ADHD, dyslexia & some minor OCD issues & she was the only person I ever connected with. If we would of been adopted; I would of thought we could of been genetic siblings because we connected so well. I would love to find another girl with those issues. Emily had other issues to that I didn't have but I had a lot that she didn't have as well. She was a bit younger than me to. If anyone knows a girl who has bad ADHD, dyslexia & minor OCD & is 18 to 30 & wanting a relationship; Please set me up

I don't know, if she's a bit crazy then it's a plus in my opinion.

I like that too, but I won't hold it against her if she's psychologically balanced.

I simply told his wife what he was doing - far worse than any other punishment I could have dealt to him, and no possibility of prison...
