Sometimes I wish I could just not like people/not want to be around them, but I don't wish for dating and marriage to not exist. Overall I enjoy friends and relationships in general and I would get married if it really felt right.

I suspect it only gets boring if it stops developing......it's similar to the social aspects of a relationship, i.e. it can get dull if you just repeat the same old patterns over and over, like watching the same film. Trouble is, if you don't have any fresh ideas, it might already be too late to just switch partners, without causing a lot of anguish. I suppose the real one-night-standers make sure they don't bed the same person more than once, and quickly find a new one so they won't get any serious pangs of regret for ditching the first one.

Mature people do mature things, like...THINKING ABOUT STUFF! Most people don't want to think. Other signs of maturity include patience... and interests. Does this person have interests like clubbing and bar-hopping, or does this person like simple things like campfires and DVD movies? All signs, no guarantees. The quickie method is to look at someone's face. The more relaxed it is, the more relaxed they are.

However, there is no better method than the "getting to know them" one. It just requires patience...and thinking :)

True. It would be nice to mandate everyone to carry a "disclaimer" on them everywhere they go. It would save people lots of time trying to find a significant other by weeding out all the jerks at the get-go. >.<

You have a very different opinion than most on what maturity is. Lots of people think clubbing is mature & staying home doing simple things is immature. I can not be mature in ways most people consider maturity. I may as well try to be an NT instead of an Aspie.

BTW I'm very hairy everywhere except for my head; I'm going bald.

I was going to ask this. Most people think that going out drinking and clubbing is immature and staying home is being responsible.

I was going to ask this. Most people think that going out drinking and clubbing is immature and staying home is being responsible.

Lots of people I've met younger than 30 think so. People i've worked with, my neighbors, some of my family ect
