I have Lebanese ancestry and it can go both ways, e.g. some of my cousins are just stunning but I look at my great grandparents and my great grandfather was strikingly handsome and his wife really Fugly! Their kids were a mix.
The genius/insanity components in our extended family most definitely came from the Lebanese side.
