I have an extreme attraction to effeminate "emo/goth/scene" (sorry for the labels but it's easier than describing them in detail) guys, and also to a small amount of occasional drag. My fiancee is bisexual and he is very effeminate - he paints his nails (black), wears eyeliner, colors his hair (it's bleached right now but he says he wants to put a pink streak in it), and wears a kilt sometimes, which he calls a "man-skirt." He is also the sweetest guy I have ever known; he loves me for just who I am, has a nice sense of humor, and we have a lot in common.

I think perhaps this attraction originally stemmed from the fact that a lot of the gay/bi/effeminate male friends I have are very handsome, but kind at the same time; also, they have a closer eye when it comes to grooming. It also stems from my support of GLBT rights and the idea that if someone is bi, they're not likely to roam about spewing homophobic nonsense.

I love men who (are)...

-Gentle (not 'gentlemen)
-Truly kind to others
-Able to understand themselves
-Truly respect women as people
-Fight for the little guy
-Love me for who I am, not who they want me to be.
-Hardworking

In odd things?
Those who...

-Aren't afraid to cry
-Are shy or anxious
-Are into geeky things like me (like DnD! :D )
-Are intensely logical in debates, but GREAT at emotional communication. I mean, I can't read your face, you really have to be okay with me frequently asking whats going on. o.o
-Aren't turned off by my masculine traits, or that I'll probably make more money than they will.
-Did I mention gentle? I'll reiterate. Gentle. O.O So very important.

A foul mouth (not in the hygienic sense). There's just something about hearing a woman talk dirty. I can also relax more around people who talk like that because I know I don't have to watch what I say as closely.

Buck teeth. I don't know why, I think they're cute. :rabbit:

Pink or green clothes.

And of course all of the stereotypical things men like but very few men will actually own up to liking. (implants, makeup, photoshop, etc.) :P

You know the smell a guy gets when he's just worked out or done some kind of physical labor? Not BO or just regular sweat, but a particular type of guy-sweat. That's amazingly attractive, in a primal sort of way, as are broad shoulders. General awkwardness and stuttering can do something for me sometimes, too.

Mainly though, I really like someone who comes from a background similar to mine (ie. they haven't been coddled much in life and have been through enough that getting to know them doesn't make me feel like emotionally-damaged goods), yet still believes in things and has some optimism or faith left. Someone who is a good person by choice, rather than by habit or lack of experience, if that makes sense.

I don't think that's so strange. Unless I'm stranger than I thought...

Yeah, that's probably something almost all women react to. It's probably only that not everyone is aware of on a conscious level that it isn't talked about much.

I think skinny guys (so long as they are as tall or taller than me) are better looking than super-ripped guys. 8)

Oh, Gwenwyn, I agree with the part of not being turned off by a girl having guy traits. I've always been a tomboy so it's great when a guy doesn't expect a girl to be wearing make-up and do everything girl-ish. :P

Competitiveness, I know this isn't strange in the NT world, but I love when a guy wants to compete with me.

Super-intelligent women, perhaps a degree in astrophysics, mathematics, Russian literature....etc.
Nerdy (if you have a star wars cookie cutter set for example)
I also had to tell a girl once to stop speaking Tolkien Elvish to me as it was driving me crazy (in a good way).

I'm not very competitive, either, but it does feel nice to win sometimes. :D

Oh, no problem. D: I can cook, so I have my merits. :D

I would rather be 5' 7" though. I'd be ridiculously skinny however.

7'7" is an even better height. Super tall guys are sexy.

I love men over 7foot tall. I don't find many though. Although i would do Neil Fingleton any day.
