I never met an Aspie girl.
I don't trust any psychiatrist, I don't trust any test.
I don't see psychiatry as a science.
I will read Pinnygig's books tho

Quote:

So if you dont trust any test that provide diognosis, then how do you know you are an aspie male? And if you dont trust the tests then what is it that define a girl as aspie, how do u measure this if not by the scientific benchmarks set by these test?
.

I don't know if I will be an aspie after 2013, but I'm almost sure of being a highly functional something (I'm different/another kind).
I see the big picture of what being an Autist means. I'm not schizoid.

I would recognize someone like me.

you may recognise someone like yourself, but that doesn't mean you could recognise other aspies. we are all different. you are not an expert of any sort on autism.

Did you hear anything boo?.
Dont worry its probably just a cat as non existant previous poster just pointed out.

On topic Catperson there are as many chances of things working out between you and an aspie girl as you and a nt girl, you jsut have to look beyond those labels and find one that seems compatible enough.

Sorry to be a bother but the number of diagnosed aspie girls(which I believe is what you are looking for) is quite limited and you are limiting yourself too much when theres no need to do so.

After 2013 Asperger's may not be recognized as a diagnosis in the DSMV....

So, I am not an expert on any sort of autism, according to you, because you could tell an expert, riiiiggghhhht?

Okay, so what exactly are things that people associate with girls that are contrasting to aspie nature? Emotional, irrational, social, giggly gossipy etc.

So then how is it that I am a confirmed female and diagnosed aspie, and have been frequently informed that I a) have no emotions b) think far to much and "need to learn to feel" c) have been called antisocial by even close friends and parents. You want logic? Need I send you the therapist's reports and a blood sample with the definite lack of y chromosome?

How does gender in anyway affect the brain, so that only male's can be aspies? And has anyone thought to mention the theory that all fetuses are female and eventually chemicals occur to change that? Of course there are aspie girls, a surplus of testosterone is not a factor in Aspergers.

But, hey, if you are right, then I have an amazing discovery. If a girl aspie does not exist, I have the cure to autism: kneeing every Asperger guy in the groin.

I'll say.

I suppose you're more qualified to diagnose someone than a team of psychiatrists, and the person's family members of which whom they grew up with?

Get over yourself.

NO expert would ever diagnose or undiagnose a person on the internet, so yes, i can tell if you are an expert or not.
