I believe there are more people diagnosed in Canada and US than in Europe.

I do think it's all individual. Not all Aspie males (or females) are the same, and not all NTs are the same. Call me naive, but I do think other factors are more important for a success of a relationship than someone's neurodiversity status.

And yes, there are so many quirky NTs. As well as many shy, socially awkward ones. My husband is a NT and he's less sociable than I am (he doesn't have that much of a need to make friends, but people like him; I want to have friends but people don't like me much). He's also not interested in sports and many other "NT male" activities and actions.

So it's not like all the NTs are mindless, evil, mean crowd who'd torment Aspies.

By all means, if someone feels better with an Aspie guy, go for it. I just believe two people can work together (or not) based on individual factors more than the neurodiversity.

I have dated one of each, and the Aspie partner was easier to deal with (the fact that she was mild AS, like myself, helped as well). However, she was likely asexual, and that's what doomed the relationship (I do want to have kids eventually).

and why there's not much wp members from Asian and Middle-eastern countries?

Autism is very epidemic in the Middle-east due to the cousin marriages, so It's supposed to have a lot of Aspies there too (IF Asperger is really autism).

I think that might be because of the diagnostic techniques. I know in my part of the world (Eastern Europe) you have to be fairly severe to get a diagnosis. Mild cases are often regarded as "there's nothing wrong with you". Sometimes, professional would say that "it's an American thing,t o over diagnose anybody who has any signs or problems", etc.

Plus, I don't know how mental problems* are seen in the Middle East, but if it's considered shameful, not many people would be open to talk about it (or to admit they have it).

* - I don't consider this to be a mental problem, but that's how it's sometimes perceived.

Mental problems is not something often talked about in public here, true. And I never hear people here saying about visiting a psychologist/psychiatrist.

As for Asperger, I don't think its diagnosis even exist here or even much heard of ( they're just seen as very shy or socially inept), but only the typical form of Autism:

Check out Cleopatra's immediate ancestry. Where there should be sixteen distinct ancestors, there are six. It just boggles the mind. 8O

You need to understand the Egyptians and other ancient cultures in their context. I'm an archaeologist, I deal with these things a lot.

Most aspie men would not date as they do not want to put themselves in a situation where they would have a women humiliate them .

It's nice to know sad aspie agrees with my (edit because I am not allowed to have an opinion) I hope when he gets his depressive issues dealt with he will stop having these ludicrous ideas of having a girl friend, if he agrees ( edit because I am not allowed an opinion) why is he chasing them,? they can sense these things you know, aspie men do crazy #$% as a depressive you know (thats been my experiences anyways)

I think Religious factors would very much lead to why females of those countries are discouraged on it, seeing that if they were to be intrested to you, 2 things would have to be factored, Religion and Clothing, specifically if you are in such religions like Islam, Taoism, or Shintoism, and wear some of their traditional clothing, then that might increase the chance of it, but that is just my thoughts on it.

No wait, I know three guys and two girls who are aspies, and all of them are in committed relationships. I hooked two of them together and they connected instantly and have been married for a couple of years now. Ahhh, true love <3

This is what makes me consider it fantasy. Not the aspie part either, rather it's the "i hooked this couple up, they clicked instantly and have been married for a couple years" part. If this is so commonplace, how come there's nobody itching to hook me up with anyone?
