agreed, ive seen this fail so many times. Maybe its because im one of the few people with respect but whenever ive been told no i just walk away instead of keep pursuing

Anyway, I think the only solution is to make yourself unapproachable, but not an angry b...h. Somebody suggested listening the music while you're outside. It's a good idea, though.
And I agree unwanted attention is bad. No attention sucks a big time, but unwanted attention doesn't help at all.
