Then how would you present a Christian worldview to someone?

How about briefly?

In most of the other forums I've used over the last 20+ years, the "problem" with evangelist posts has usually boiled down to quantity, not quality. Those of us who are not Christians have almost certainly read/heard stories of personal salvation from others time and time again. Most of us have engaged in personal struggle to reach our theological position, and have debated it with friends, family and strangers alike. There is almost never anything new to be added to the discussion.

If I see a post that has the word "Jesus" in the first few lines I *may* read it to see if the point is well presented or if there is something new to be learned.

Likewise, when I see a very long post I may start reading it on the assumption that the author has a complicated position to explain and needs a lot of words to make his point clearly.

BUT. When I see a very long post starting with "Jesus" I instinctively (and unapologetically) scroll past it to see if the conversation will recover or if it will devolve into a flame war. In truth, I didn't read a word you wrote up there....

Snoopy... It's OK to talk God and stuff. I understand getting swept up in thought. We all need different kinds of salvation, but I hear you about the Alphas. I can also understand everyone getting real wigged out about Christianity because the Alphas within the church are doing a real smash-up job of promoting Jesus and misrepresenting his message.

Who knows what I believe in, but I think of Jesus like a really righteous civil rights leader.

Yeah... shallow girls. Gosh, look for people like you. There's nothing you can do about Alphas. They'll always be there, just pretend you don't notice them. There will always be one alpha more alpha-y than another.

SSRIs suck... take St. Johns Wort and drink some Kava tea and avoid coffee like the plague. ...and camomile, YES!

Bump.

Some personal qualities that appeal to me are having a good sense of humour, having intelligence but at the same time humility and willingness to learn, being kind and thoughtful and being interesting.
