It doesn't matter which site you use; you're still going to have your fair share of fucknuggets.

Those poseurs are so annoying. Also, people are mixing up nerds and geeks in this thread. :x
Nerds are into academic endeavors, geeks are into obscure consumerism/entertainment like video games, anime, MLP, and RPGs.

I hate it when girls do that how 'nerdygrrrrrr' thing.
Like for real.
It makes real gamer girls like not taken seriously

and dating sites are no good.
I always have the undeniable urge to troll people on them.
Like... at first I try to use it seriously, but i get too many lulz.

That is true in my case. I would rather have a non-geeky, confident, macho man. But I don't know if it's true for all female geeks. Maybe it isn't. :)

No, you are a fine representative specimen of your species.

I've spent years pursuing after geek girls, didn't even get a date out of anyone of them, they never gave me the time of day (and they ALWAYS tell me they want someone opposite of them) - it was a mistake.

Now I would rather date a non-geeky sociable easygoing girl any time ;) at least I am dating them - tit-for-peni.... no I mean tit-for-tat, geeky girls ;p.

:o I didn't know they were two separate things. I thought they were two words used interchangeably to describe the same sort of person. Thank you for informing us that we were wrong.

I have now educated myself on "geek versus nerd" and found a most enlightening diagram:

Apparently I must be a nerd as opposed to a geek.

I find that strange! As a geeky girl myself, I've gone after guys who are non-gamer or geek, and it's nice, but when it comes to discussion of games or playing games, there is a huge disconnect that make me feel uncomfortable. I prefer not to go after someone who is a gamer4lyfe, but at least plays games and has decent knowledge and/or experience with them. Otherwise I just feel disconnected, because games have just been such a huge part of my life..

what pisses me off, is that online dating is easier for women than it is for men because on every online dating site, there is always way more men on it than women, and that means men have to put themselves out there way more than women do, as in meet women in person
