I used to think career. And now I've found as an Aspie I can only cope with one or the other I'd sooner pick love and a crappy job :)

Sheryl Sandburg said that because her husband helps out around the house, she is able to reach her dreams. I feel like I've found the perfect man who's allowed me to do both :)

Edit: That being said, I'd choose love first if I had to

I've always chosen work over love.

Frankly this has been the easy route for me. I've always been pretty good at solving work problems, getting and keeping jobs, etc. I've never quite figured out how to be intimate with people. For me, that was always the really difficult problem. So I guess I'm just lazy.

guys are not allowed to put girls on a pedestal, but girls are allowed to do so vice-versa

Love. Allthough I would need a job I could thrive in. But making a career is not that important to me. I want to have a job doing what I like, and then to be able to come home to someone after a long day of work. All in all I would choose love over money. Money does not make me happy.

I don't even want a career, so the question was easy for me. I'm fine with just surviving, but surviving is very unpleasant if I'm alone.

Why are all these old threads getting bumped up? o_o;;

To answer the question, career, because I'd rather base my happiness on something solid that I can control, not on somebody else.

Career. And i HAVE chosen it.

Haven't dated since January 2010 and cannot be arsed to do so given the narcisistic women on dating sites who only look for another credit card for their kids. Noone is looking for love anymore.

Love you can take with you (depending on your thoughts about death, etc. you would see them again on the other side when their time is up) a career you can't.

Love is healing and can get you through illness, a career can't.

Love is priceless, a career is determined by your efforts, abilities and others opinions of you.

Love is completing, a career is soul destroying (unless you really like what you do)

What they heck am I talking about? I need sleep.

If I had love I would choose love every time.

Career.

I realised some time ago that I lack the social skills to successfully pursue both a career and a love/family life. And since I value my independence above almost everything else, I am not going to give up my career...

I haven't even tried to get a date since 1999 or 2000, I think.

Career.

The less popular and cool I am, the more I need to compensate for it in other areas. If a girl after I´m finished with my master´s degree and I´ve beefed up a little more in the gym chooses some guy who parties every weekend and know every nightclub owner in the district over me, it´s her loss.
