Seriously? I answered the latter ABC ones using standard PUA pick-up theory and those answers got me a +1. I even remember enough to explain those answers, assuming those theories were true, which they're not.

I thought you were being sarcastic, do you honestly believe that was a good test?

EDIT: Now I get what you mean, with the mercury analogy. If the test's purpose is to see how well someone could attract women in clubs who could be physically hot but don't have much in the ways on personality then I guess that test isn't too far off the mark

I have to admit befuddlement as to how any full-on aspie could score well on this test. one must be PERFECTLY socially-functioning to score well. how does this help aspies?

For all the trash talking of this test, has anyone actually scored significantly differently than their real-world results?

I sure did not. I am an upper beta, who can succeed only with lots of effort, both on the test and in the real world.

Some of you have quibbled with individual questions, but the test is meant to be scored as a WHOLE.

Here's an example: Someone who went to jail for child pornography but still had everything else in place is highly unlikely but would probably do ok if he existed. For example, there are separate questions for income, social status, and behavior. If someone had been arrested for child pornography but still made over $120,000/year, for example, then it's highly unlikely that this arrest would hurt him that much -- in fact, no more than a -1. But in the real world, an arrest for child pornography often signifies a person who has other unattractive traits and leads to a cascade that affects things like employment, etc that detract from attractiveness. It's really these collateral consequences, especially a long prison sentence and its employment consequences, not the arrest itself, that do a man the most damage. Most of these men would probably score in the deep negatives. So all in all, subtracting just -1 for the arrest itself is pretty accurate, keeping in mind that individual questions can't be viewed in isolation.

With much painful effort you can redeem yourself." IOW in the army at the peak of my fitness/attractiveness, I was immediately repellent of women in general.

I will say I agree with my score but not with ho it was achieved. th questions were rather black and white.

This must be an American thing...or maybe an uneducated, plebeian thing. I wouldn't know, as I don't associate with either.

Those tests seem to be geard towards getting a one night stand, and it may have some bearing in that regard. But since I am not at all into that sh|t, it has no relevancy for me. But honestly, if I just want to get off one night, I have battery operated friends, and believe me when I say, even an awkward, old , fat chick like myself can get laid if I so choose.

It would be much more interesting to see a test measuring how successful you are at finding and maintaining a meaningful relationship with someone.

Ok, I did the test and got a +7. A lot of 0's and a few -1, but I understand the concept of teasing and that helped a lot (some of the "tease" answers given by the test I wouldn't have used myself, but I'd probably come up with something similar on the spot)
But Tyrion, the problem I have with your test is that, as many others have said, it is simply not relevant to my life and what I want from it. It is geared towards people who believe in a dating market and are willing to subject themselves to it, and again, it is geared towards one night stands and such.
