I run my own company so I try to keep my own salary minimal so as much cash can stay in the company and help it grow. However, I'm still 'making' that money as its mine when I eventually sell the business. So its difficult to answer this poll. Also is this before or after tax? there are great differences in tax (and also in cost-of-living) around the world! (although I do realize this is a US-centric website).
I'm 34 by the way.

Right now, I don't have a job, but am looking for one as we speak. I am planning to get a degree in a Business-related discipline so I can become a CPA, Investment Banker or a Financial Trader after I graduate college.

Er, I looked at the Department of Labor's site, and it's $7.25/hour! (It had been $5.15 a couple of years ago.) I hope not too many of you (at least, those who live in the States) are being ripped off...

Currently $0. In a week or so, I get around 6-7K for signing up with the reserves. Then if I'm lucky, I'll get $1,000 a month in disability with 7-8K backpay. And I'm about 8 credits off from my RN, so whatever they make, I'll be getting. For all that talk though, $0 is currently what I have in my wallet. Who here eats a steady diet of ramen noodles?

Also, why was this in Love and Dating? =P

I am appalled that this thread is in 'Love and Dating' rather than Random.

Money should have nothing do to with dating!!

Thank freespirit2000 for resurrecting a two year old thread... it was $5.15 an hour when that post was made...

After I get my bachelor's degree in 3 months, with the combination of experience and education (I have about 5 years of experience in my field), I will probably be in the $60,000-70,000 range.

Yes, unfortunately money is important in the game of life and love.

I'm very fortunate at the moment to have been given the opportunity to work in Russia. Around $200k + per year, but no idea how long it's going to last. Make hay and all that :)

I don't see the problem. I've known girls who dated for love and not all of them, but a majority ended up abandoned for the next best thing their men ran into. I don't like the idea of being passed up based on my income either, but I'm capable of changing that with enough motivation. The unfortunate thing here is that women are evaluated for looks a majority of the time, and looks aren't as easy to change. I'd say I have a pretty fair deal.

I'm guessing because the more a man makes the higher his attraction is in general to the opposite sex, and one other double whammy of being an Aspie man is that we generally don't make all that much, so our 'breeding' currency is not worth that much in the eyes of women in general.

I can't view the results and I can't vote because I'm not a guy. Why didn't you ask what all people make, not just guys?
