A little surprising that "men who can't stop bragging about themselves" only got 1 vote so far. A guy bragging or deliberately trying to impress them is an immediate red-flag for many women.

It is a red flag, but only because it's usually a cover-up for one of the other traits on the poll.

Ew, those people. Why can't they just stick to controlling stuff in their own lives instead of other people's?

Probably because their own life is so screwed up, they take it out on other people.

At least, that's why I think my sister's boyfriend is like that.

That's personal attack, that is. :P

To be fair, I have never called anyone *son of a b***h* or even shouted at anyone. I usually just cry like a wimp when I get overwhelmed.

Aren't you in the Netherlands? I thought that the Netherlands didn't have any traditionalists, except among the Moslems.

I finally figured out why the traditionalist man was hands-down the worst choice; it's the only option that has him choosing something for me. Like, if I really liked someone, (which I don't think would probably happen in a fair number of those choices anyways), but they possessed one of the crappy traits above, I could live with it and chalk it up to it being a flaw, perhaps an endearing one at that. But if his flaw is how he views ME, and what he expects of ME, especially in terms of right and wrong, then there's no way I'd be with him.
Even the mama's boy, a trait I better not mind because I married one, is about what he likes me to do for him. If I don't coddle him he's disappointed. If, on the other, I married a traditionalist and I don't perform wifely duties or even think the same way he does about gender roles, I'm being morally wrong.

Another thing, when comparing the 2 scales posted, one about men and one about women, I rather don't see having traditional gender roles as being an opposite to feminism depending on whether you're a man or a woman. Feminists are about getting equality for a subset of people, but I think many of them strive for gender equality period, meaning for both men and women. It's about breaking down stereotypical gender views, which, as it is, have been about subjugating women; they've traditionally gotten the short end of the stick. So it makes it so that if you're going to be about gender equality, you're going to be fairly feminist.
The very idea that a poll designed for men (well, mainly men) would have 'being a feminist' as a negative trait, but in a poll for women that gets changed to 'being traditionalist' is sexist right there.
I get that someone might not want to be with a feminist, but I also get that there are definitely men out there who don't want to marry a woman with traditional gender roles either.

Enh, I'm nitpicking about a poll that was supposed to be rather light. It's what I do. Carry on as usual, I don't want someone getting upset about my comments.

Either that, or they're trying to give a completely different reaction from the one they assume the guy's expecting to get.

A guy bragging can easily be ignored by not listening. A guy not doing his share of work, forces me to do that work for him, which endures me, and I cant ignore.

This was a tough choice! Although I chose elitist in the poll, there is really a four way tie between these:

Elitist
Men who like to fight
Men who brag about themselves
Cheaters

All of these types aren't just annoying or to be avoided, they disgust me. I chose elitist because I encounter that most often in the area I'm now living. Everyone thinks they are enlightened and open-minded, but really they are just stuck up snobs who can't accept anyone who thinks differently from them.

How elitist of you. :P

She is probably revering to the Calvinists in the bible belt.
