There should be more men like you.

I think men should pee sitting down. No more pee drops on the toilet rim and the floor. I'm so glad I don't have to clean that anymore.

I think one of the most major things is that you both have your own assigned space to retreat to where only you can control it with only your things in it. That and alone time. Note the difference between having your own space and having your own time.

The other thing I would say is make sure both of you respecting each other's boundaries. I've had people that insist I must sleep in their bed, or a certain way, or go to bed with them at a certain time (a nightmare and then some for an insomniac). Refusal to respect boundaries can pretty much ruin any relationship.

I think what has been said about division of tasks, money issues, not getting too comfortable and not just doing it for connivence are also really valid. I notice a lot of people are more polite and appreciative of their acquaintances than they are of their own partner. Maintaining respect, appreciation and manners towards each other can go a long way too.

Jealousy and money are most common reasons.

And leaving dirty socks on the floor.

Food as well.

Agree with Boo. I'm one of apparently few men who'd rather have the toilet seat down, but I don't make any fuss if I were to see it up. All I have to do is just put it down. That's all. No drama, no hassles.

Just for the record, even though I always have the toilet thingy down, I still pee while standing up.

Just saying in case someone was about to have weird thoughts about me ...

A man doesn't pee while sitting down, unless he has the need to biologically multitask, or is such an awful aim the toilet gets showered.

I don't know why anyone would leave the toilet seat up ( - unless to annoy a petty woman)...monsters might come out of it at three am and rip your throats out...

What the hell?

Privilege my stripey fleas, it's your birthright!

Another lesson for a man moving in - don't 'grow a vagina'. She didn't start d'ating a wimp, so don't turn into one.

There's a difference between sensible compromise and being a doormat

My husband is free to pee as he wants. I would feel ridicilous to tell a grown up men, how he shall pee. As long as the grown up men, additionally knows to get the wet broom afterward. Because I do think, that it would be as well be ridiculous to pee without need sprinkles on the floor, and then expect others to clean that. I think grown up men, are old enough to need no woman anymore, to assist them with removing their pee and poo stuff.

Yop, that goes as well for guests. Nope, we have in head-hight, a smoky-glass element in the door. ^^

But seriously, your hubby does really clean the toilet?
I think it would be very difficult for a man to pee standing without any droplets and splashes.
Why can't men just sit on the toilet and pee. It's cleaner, more relaxing and no need to lift the seat up. I don't understand why peeing standing up is so important to guys. I wouldn't have any problem if they cleaned it up afterwards. But who does that really?

I couldn't live with a man because of things like this. Pee isn't so bad, but the last time there was jelly stuff on the toilet that I had to clean off, it freaked me out. I could only compare the horror to someone's used sanitary pad being placed on there.

About one in every five public womens toilets has pee on the seat. It's bad when women hover too.

It's even worse if the man has severe phimosis as he is likely to spray around if he doesn't handle his penis properly while urinating.

Maybe it is a birthright, but with great power comes great responsiblility.
