I kiss women in the cheek when I am in a good mood. Otherwise I feel too awkward. It is social expectation though, I've noticed there is a certain tension when I fail to do so and give a handshake instead.

I'd say we're less prone to understand, and thus follow, social expectations from us. And social pressure helps shape gender roles. So all in all, we would tend to be truer to ourselves, whatever gender we are.

Personally I don't care what role people want to play so long as they don't have an attitude about it, get on with it basically.
