No, I was joking when I said we 'pretended to be lesbians'. I was playing on the fact that my friend and I went together as a female-female couple because we both couldn't get male dates. I respect gay and lesbian people.

It would backfire. They would likely either be ignored and avoided or people would talk crap behid their back.

I am. Sure, I won't take anybody or dance, that'd be awfully out of character. But it seems like it'd be memorable.

I remember a story from my old History teacher. Him and his friends, since their parents were willing to pay for their prom, took the money and used it to fund a huge party instead. The kids who did go to prom said their party sounded more fun. LOL.

Old thread is old.

Regardless, I went to every single dance... ever.. by myself, which is not unusual here.

My senior prom was on May 14th. I didn't go. My boss said it's not that great if you go by yourself, and I would've gone with a few people I barely knew who all had fake personalities and I wouldn't have been able to get a date either. It's also expensive to rent everything for it and I really need to get a car.

I stayed home and just surfed the internet on my computer as usual and then got really depressed about my girl situation and went to bed around 9:30. Crappy night indeed, kind of regretted not going but I really don't think I could've had fun in a social environment like that, I only would've went for a rare chance at getting a GF and that obviously wouldn't have worked out, I wouldn't even have danced.

I'm not even going to mine, I have far better things to do. It'll be interesting to see everyone else run around screaming about clothes and dates though.
