Then wait until someone says something genuinely sexist first.

Oh no no....but it was genuinely sexist, her idea is: when a woman is asking how expensive the restaurant is it means she doesn't see you as a romantic potential ===> Which implies that she's saying that women typically want their romantic potential mates to...pay for their dates, otherwise they're not potentials. ==> and this, my dear RetroGamer87, her whole assumptions is based on the stereotype "Women want their dates to pay for dinner", and that's genuinely and undeniably generalization and sexist. Not all women want their dates to pay, some women prefer to go Dutch, not all women who ask about the restaurant's prices mean they don't see the guy as a potential.

**sigh*** Where are the other Justice League heroes? I see no one of them telling her how sexist this post was.

The bias is unbelievable, there's no hope for our planet.

Wasn't the ignore list your idea? Are you for or against it?

Anyway paying for my date's meal is not is not sexist. I need to be the one who pays so I can feel rich and important.

I've never encountered a woman who asked me how expensive a restaurant is.

I do know that they don't like being taken to McDonald's or something.

I think she's a poor university student. Maybe she thought I was a MGTOW who'd make her pay and she was worried she couldn't afford it.

Or maybe she just wanted to know the price to add up the cost into her budget plan.

In my translation:

When a person says that place is too expensive it means one of the following,
A. Will you pay for me?
B. Let's go somewhere else
C. I just don't like that place.
D. I can't afford that.
You act too desperate when you immediately jump in and say , "I'll pay!" Proper response - where would you like to go?
In this context, when someone says "I dont know you well enough," it may mean,
A. They would feel awkward or in debt to you if you paid.
B. They don't want to be trapped that long in case they don't like you or you turn out to be a scary or weird person.
Best way to handle both situations... it is not a good idea to go to a restaurant on a first meeting. It's way too big of a commitment for two people who have never spent time together. Get coffee/tea. It's safer for you both.

It is completely out of bounds for her to ask you to repair her phone!! even if she pays for the part!! No matter how that topic came up! As noted previously that is a huge red flag. Please don't ignore it. She is at best manipulative and at worst a scammer. Sorry. Be safe and don't flash money in virtual or real. If it's too good to be true it most likely is a lie.
p.s.don't buy your date anything the first time you meet up with the exception of that cup of coffee/tea. And if you ask me, you should expect a female to reciprocate at least sometimes if not half. If she never pays I think that's a bad sign.

I agree. It's hard to refuse a free dinner and a favor. Be careful with her.

^it's spammed all over l and d.

Also as for paying for the dinner I would do what you are comfortable with. This isn't the olden days where you are expected to pay for everything because your a man.

It's completely your choice, some men like paying, some like going halves, and some like having a sugarmama (is that what it's called?) Hahahaha.

I would be a bit concerned about the iPhone thing. I would be surprised should is willing to give someone on the Internet money.
