As a gay guy who's very masculine and assumed to be straight, there are things you can do to present more masculine in appearance with clothing choices, mannerisms etc. But there are also things you can do in life and about who you are that will make you more of a "real man," in thoughts, actions, behaviours, presentation etc.

This book is pretty simple, but it does have a lot of valuable info in it.. especially if the information in it is news to you. Give it a read, you might just learn something about how to "man up," and then find yourself being treated like a more masculine member of society. Despite the cover art it is Not dark and does not preach violence etc. I bought it as an amazon reco when I bought the philosophy book "Might is Right," by Ragnar Redbeard. (Fascinating, but this book is more on point with the things you want to learn & know in order to do & be.)

Thanks a lot this is exactly kind of recommendation I hope for!

I hope you do read it & get a lot out of it. Books like these help explain the.. "unwritten rules," of society to those of us that they're not so readily apparent to.

Awesome, that's gonna be hugely helpful for me and others with Aspergers.

I think unwritten rules are one of the biggest struggles for us.

I know they are.

It's like I explained to cubedemon in another thread, people can't teach overly simple things like "common sense," because, like breathing, they've never been taught to anyone so they don't have the ability to teach them to others. They're just innately, instinctively, intuitively Known. When I'm functioning at my highest due to the treatment protocol I follow & my "social circuitry," is turned on, I'm on this same wavelength of just knowing things & find myself rolling my eyes at others' social missteps. But if I'm at my lowest due to antibiotic use, I'm oblivious and things go right over my head. There's no way to teach anyone the things that "turn on," and function properly. The only way, in my experience, is to turn those things on in your own body/brain.

But at least there are books like this that lay some of these things out in plain language that anyone with a will to learn can understand, remember, and utilize for themselves.
