It's a standard clause in any contract with the Devil. Basically, "Upon the death of the mortal being, the Devil or his designates shall collect the soul of the mortal being as payment-in-full for services rendered by the Devil or his designates for the benefit of the mortal being during the life-time of the mortal being."

There is no Sanity Clause.

No Aether Bunny, either.

Ever wonder what Satan does with all those souls? It’s implied that they’re his for eternal torment, but that just seems a waste. After so many millennia of collecting souls, I’d think it gets tiresome when they could be put to better use. Why does the Prince of Darkness want them so badly?

If I understand the intent of the question like I think I do, it’s legit. It’s unlikely you have direct experience of Bill Gates. You just take it for granted that Gates exists as though Gates is self-evident. Otherwise, the only evidence you have of Gates is hearsay.

Cream cakes are a little tricky, though. There IS direct evidence of cream cakes, and not really that many people will dispute that. The argument surrounding cream cakes is an epistemic one. Those who argue against cream cakes say that the likelihood of their existence is so infinitesimally small that they most likely do NOT exist. Therefore, they choose to believe they do not exist. Those who DO choose to believe the evidence accept it on faith. It’s just another example of the dangers of empiricism on rational thought.

Satan doesn't have a very good origin story or character development

Hmm...
Created to be the most beautiful of the angelic host.
Lead the Angelic Choir.
Came to consider himself equal to or better than God.
Lead a rebellion of 1/3 of the Angelic Host against God and the remaining 2/3s.
Banished out of Heaven along with the other rebels.
Fell to Earth with the other rebels.
Now walks the Earth trying to corrupt as much of humanity as possible before the Final Judgement, when he will be utterly defeated.

Yeah ... not much of a story ... no passion ... no romance ... no nude scene ... no gratuitous car chase ... no running gun battle ... no real plot.

Well, this is so ridiculous. Gates certainly exists because we could see him in interviews, unless there's a world wide conspiracy to make us think he exists.

On the other hand, we can't see souls nor communicate with them; as much how we can't see real dragons.

Yes. It was real out of this world exp. but then I met him irl and I was shocked at his physical appearance. Covered in boils. I m not joking. He had only a few years to live. Cancer. So we ended up being just friends. He wanted to get married but I said no as I had no such feelings for him. So he stopped talking to me. I don’t know where’s he’s at or what he’s doing now

I don’t believe in anything that has not been proven by modern day science. That’s not to say it can’t exist, but there’s little point to worrying or placing bets on only what might be. So no, no soul mates. People just make transactions with each other, or settle.

silenced the birds in the trees.

That’s a very cold way of putting it. All the love stories and love songs in history are based on a transaction?

I wonder why books and songs about banking aren’t more popular...

This topic cracks me up. Someone calling Satan boring  , love transactions and Bill Gates's existence is being doubted.

Even someone who rejected Deadpool 8)

Fantastic!

That and hormones, endorphins, and synaptic firings ... basically, it's two chemistry sets getting together to make more chemistry sets.
