The problem with Asperger's people, I guess, is the inability to see that because one feels something, one needn't express it. Some feelings (including neediness) are better kept to oneself.
Basically you're suggesting that we should ignore any & all feelings if someone else may disagree with them. I think it's better to be upfront about everything & worry about petty disagreements
later.
Most of us have already tried being total doormats. It doesn't work.
