There. Fixed it for you!

The OP's claims were directed at a specific subset of women -- autistic women, to be exact -- and not at women in general. Thus, it was not so much a sexist claim as it was an ableist claim.

The OP did not experience a breakup. He experienced 4 instances of allegedly autistic women treating him with indifference.

I've been treated with "indifference" so many times----that if I would have let it affect me, I would have been a basket case.

I'm not going to mention this guy----but this guy did some very nasty things because he felt like women were "indifferent" to him. And he didn't feel that he had to make the "first move."

I would just "slough off" the indifference, and just move on to bigger and better things.

OP, my best friend fell in love with me once and I had no idea, perhaps these women didn't even realise you liked them. It's not that I didn't care about my friend, just that I didn't pick up on the signals as they may not do if they have autism.

kraftiekortie, well done for being so resilient, that's a great mindset to have!

Please tell me this thread is a joke. If it is a joke it sure is a hurtful one. I’m an HFA female by the way.

Good luck.

I think the OP may have been sincere.

I hope the rest of us has given him reason enough to reconsider his opinions.

My thanks, and apologies, to all those who provided constructive comments in this thread.

I'm fundamentally uncomfortable with the premise even before we get onto the comments made with the deliberate attempt to derail the discussion (I usually wouldn't comment on a user's ban, but in this case I think it's appropriate to reassure others that user has been banned for comments here and elsewhere). Threads dedicated to insulting groups of autistic people are clearly at odds with WrongPlanet's purpose. Consequently, thread locked.

(I'll also remove the worst comments and those that quote them)
