That is what I thought.
Even a little creepy.
But other women here don't seem to have a problem with it. <shrug>

I would say that passing a note is one of the less creepy things you could do to a stranger. IMAO, it's better than trying to ask her out while she is at work. She now has the discretion to contact him or not.

Well, it is all done and dusted and we will see what happens.

I don't know why I felt uncomfortable with the idea, I just did.
I can't explain it. <shrug>

Like I said, we will see, hopefully, sooner rather than later. ;)

I once got my hair cut by a 19 yr old babe (let's call her Heather) at the local hairdresser. She actually was really nice and did a really decent job. So I made a point to book her again for my next haircut. When I rang The girl on the phone said no problems she would book me in with Heather.

I came for my appointment and was told that Heather is not in but would be back on Tuesday....ok I said I'm not in a hurry.

I can back on Tuesday and the manager was waiting for me. He told me that Heather was out on her lunchbreak and would somebody else like to cut my hair. I asked him point blank what was the problem?

After some digging it turned out 19yr old "hot" Heather felt creeped that a middle aged man would want to book her and she felt uncomfortable. I veritably lost my temper and asked the manager to look at his sign and read it to me.....

The manager looked down in embarrassment as he knew it said in big letters "Men's hairdresser". He apologised and said that normally the men who book don't ask for a particular hairdresser. I looked at him puzzled. He apologised again and said he values my business and would give me a discount. I told him to get f**ed.

I always make it a point now to get a male hairdresser....

So the moral of the story to the OP be prepared to find a new person working at the petrol station (of course then again she might end up being the love of his life and they get married and have a bunch of little Aspie kids and live in Hollywood). What do I know.

Frankly I am surprised to find female WP members here encouraging guys to do such stupid things, this is not a rom com, it is real life.
There was surely a very little chance for lengthy interaction there, It may work only if the OP is VERY handsome and hot, which I doubt.

In addition the girl would either have to be single or willing to dump her current "hot" boyfriend

It could end up awkward, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. Meh.

He is a 20 year old young man.
People tend to be more tolerant of the young 'uns in questioni d'amore. ;)

Ain’t nothing wrong with romance.

I use women and men hairdressers. I tell the ladies to cut my hair like they would cut their lover’s hair. I’d rather have a woman cut my hair, actually.

One time, a woman cut my hair wearing only a slip-like garment. But it was all business. I had to keep my desires to myself.

I don’t like relationships that are all business. I dig the “rom-com” sort of thing.

If I were a man, I would buy a cupcake and leave it for her with my number, "you are wonderful" and a smiley. Then keep my distance for a while.

^ A cupcake with vanilla topping and a cherry on top?

If you were a man, you would probably end up in jail.

No. The guy wouldn’t end up in jail.

The worst that would happen is the woman thinking the cupcake guy is corny.

If I am right, I think you may have missed the imagery. 8O

Normal people generally don't eat unpackaged food given to them by a stranger. Especially now with Covid.
